Kyle Belmont, 29 Mar 2017I have no horse in this race, but you do know that there is in fact more to a camera's quality... moreExactly, and by means of quality, I'm not just talking about megapixel size alone. Real life result is what speaks for that "quality". XZ does way better than the S7 Edge in daylight, not so much in low light
RB.19, 29 Mar 2017Thanx for your opinion, i just affraid if XZ will not get next update in a future because wron... moreThat's just typical Android, always stops receiving updates after 2 years. I wish Google would just change this schematic OS upgrades and let a phone receive an OS upgrade as long as it can run and handle it. Xperia Z3 is super powerful enough to run Nougat sweetly since it was even the baseline of Sony for BETA OS programs, but the official Nougat disappointingly used a different Vulkan API which SD800 and SD801 devices aren't supporting, thus only 64-bit chips are able to run it. Otherwise, the Z2 and Z3 would've made a new Android record for being the most supported phone in terms of software (3-year straight official OS upgrades, that's just a big wow - even Google themselves couldn't do it with their own devices, what a shame for them). But time really flies and the newest flagship phone we currently have today will soon be mediocre in the next 5 years
Vorarlberg, 30 Mar 2017Square corners means that when the phone is dropped on its corner, the shock of that impact hi... moreRounded corners are only there because of the small size bezel to protect the main panel to drops from sides. The closer the screen is to the external side body means the impact would likely cause heavier damage than when it has some enough distance from the external side, just like when earthquake is farther from the ground which will cause lower amount of damage to be generated. Square corners would be as feeling home since rounded corners will somewhat distort the image/video when viewed, but that shouldn't be a problem after using it for a while, though screen slipping out of the direct viewing direction (basically going through the edge) would give a huge impact overall
Square corners means that when the phone is dropped on its corner, the shock of that impact hits the display all in one spot, the corner. This is a compromise.

It's actually the opposite. Sony only neglects US.
LeL, 30 Mar 2017$1000 phone? Confirmed Where did you get the info that it's going to sell for $1000? Sony already announced that the phone is going to sell for $790.
Sony make great sensors but l am immune of the same old design of all the phones so far. Can Sony looks into some different design so that not so boring and also think how to cater for business and personal use ? Perhaps a look into thin bezels especially the top and bottom with speciall desktop to connect to computer and works like a PC ?
