ph0en1x, 24 Sep 2017Convince me to buy this phone. This phone scores 83 in dxo. Convincing enough??
Anonymous, 24 Sep 2017And you wont see the originals here on gsma either...because most screens dont support DCI-P3 ... moreWell, as long as you said I just have to wait for arenas review to conclude my ignorance and incompetence...
Youre a "nice" fella...
You seem innerved by the fact this standard isnt supported by mobile browsers...
As stated, P3 is just another HDR format, available on mobile since Note7, more than a year ago.
Still not supported by browsers...
Furthermore, raw format is available since long ago. Dxo never offered raw format convesions in their prior reviews, cause it needed conversion to jpeg. Just like P3 does. Get it?
How can we know P3 format images are even anyhow better if they are indeed processed before viewable?
Just as Raw formats would definitely look bad if looked by these dxo protocols.
But/And I aint even talking about difference in standards, but review protocols using unsupported mobile standards...
Anonymous, 24 Sep 2017both of them are same dude. the same bad camera. better choose other flagshipChrome and black colors are same?? If the sony Xperia xz premium has bad camera, then good smartphone camera is definitely extinct and there is nothing beyond, i am actually started to be concerned about you.

I hope you do. You seem to battle with the idea of future color space adoption. Take it slow, you'll understand it all eventually....

You do realise tho, their web site is readable only by a web browser. You do, I hope.
Unsupported formats should be mentioned as a sidenote then, and left for download as files for interested parties, not format converts. Adobe exif data leaves just too much room for suspision, as readers are not seeing actual full res photos from the camera.
Tann Hauser, 23 Sep 2017Go dumbing home fella. If its not even a supported format why even make a review from those? ... moreWow, your incompetence is astounding. DCI-P3 has a 25% larger Color Gamut than sRGB. So when converting from DCI-P3 to sRGB you actually lose color, so the samples that you look at is not as good as the originals. Again, the conversion is necessary so your web browser can open/view the image. GSMA will also do the conversion when they review the iP8. Not very hard to understand is it? Even the OP5 supports DCI-P3 and more and more devices, screens and browsers will start to support it....Sony will also adopt DCI-P3. Quit being so narrow minded.

If its not even a supported format why even make a review from those?
Did they use for ex raw from other cameras for reviews before? No.
They just mixed two formats for an iphone review, one not even supported by browsers, that had to be converted by photoshop, so they say...
And thus not coming directly from the phone, completely review unthrustworthy, as could have been manipulated in any way..
Anonymous, 23 Sep 2017Number 1 in the world this phone Sony Xperia xz premium the "BEAST" of them all,
dxo mark ,xperia z5 87 score,xz premium 83 score ...i can't stop laughing...

The conversion from DCI-P3 format to JPEG is an absolute necessity otherwise you won't even see the image in your browser...... Even GSMA will do the conversion during their review....... From the DxO review "The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus record photographs in the DCI-P3 colorspace, which their displays also use. DCI-P3 is newer and larger than the sRGB color space that most devices use and most web browsers assume. So to ensure that the images we used in the review display properly on a wide variety of browsers and devices, we converted the originals from DCI-P3 to sRGB using Photoshop (which is why the published test photos show Photoshop as the creator). This can slightly reduce the richness of color in some cases from what you would see when viewing the original images on a DCI-P3-calibrated display with appropriate software"

Photos processed through adobe in any way are thick.
Also Look at this:
How do for ex these scores add up to 96 in photo for iphone, when NONE of factors are even scored that high?
New DxO is really a too obvious joke.
i think sony should reduce the bazzel from all their upcoming phone and they have to improve their camera.
Sell Sensors / Sell Samsungs / Sell Apple /Sell Etc... Dang!... But Sony, is DxOMark score of Xz premium 83,84 correct??
