ren122, 04 Jul 2017can it take better than the s8 though. Absolutely yes except the size.
Sometimes i don't understand these people saying that the camera performance of XZP is not on par with what you are expecting, my friends XZP has one of the best and advanced cameras right now! Sony nailed this time round on camera performance. I guess most people bashing this phone they don't even use this phone stop fooling people here! I have watched a number of reviews and many reviewers gave positive results about XZP camera performance, just accept the fact that this is the best phone around and move on!!!

The sony Xperia xz premium can record 4k until the memory run out.
Xcnathan32, 03 Jul 2017how's the battery life on this? That's pretty damn good. And for regular use on 1080 you can get easily 7 hrs or more!

So are we, impartially comparing.
S7 in my experience doesnt take as good shots as my Sony X Performance.
If I want less noisy and more sharp looking shot I simply change to 8 mpx automode, but I loose detail.
And in lowlight you have to keep S7 steady to get a sharp shot, just as with X Performance, despite OIS. If you just point and shoot you get a mushy blury unsharp shot, be it S7 or X Perform.
I dont see any advantage in S7 camera in my experience, just somewhat brighter lowlight shots in auto, which I compensate with higher exposure level and a steady hand on my X Perform automode.
Same most certainly applies closely to XZ Premium even tho its a better lowlight shooter.
[deleted post]I took two pictures one after the other of the same object. XZP was noisy, whereas S7E was much sharper. And yes, I was using Manual mode. Most likely because S7E has OIS, XZP doesn't. I know that you and a certain other poster blindly champion Sony in some delusional "phone wars" but I am simply imparting my own experiences with this hardware.

xXENDER FREAKXx, 03 Jul 2017I feel XPERIA XZs got not much of a difference when I went to the carrier shop and compare wit... moreYeah that's always been a case with Sony they're in a jiffy to release new phones. I was really surprised to see the XZs right after the XZ and now the XZp. Won't be surprised to see another one from Sony in the coming months, well at least there will be a drastic price reduction for the XZs/XZp then :-)
Cant seem to get as decent photos with sisters S7 as with my X Performance. Specially low light. Seems you have to hold steady these OIS cameras too, else you get a mush shot. Meh.
i asked a question earlier about whether to buy the xz premium over the note 8...thanks for the suggestions guys..im going for the xz premium..this phone is awesome..!!
Anonymous, 03 Jul 2017Go for Sony with your eyes closed. It beats all phones available in market.thanks a lot..!!
[deleted post]Unlike you, I have no fanboy loyalty to Sony or Samsung. But the truth is this phone's camera is overrated.
Slash89, 02 Jul 2017I just hope they get it right this time in the camera department, I bought the XZ as Sony prom... moreI feel XPERIA XZs got not much of a difference when I went to the carrier shop and compare with my XPERIA XZ. The only improvement is low light. The noise improvement is very small, for a normal user they will not notice it in daylight photos. But what I like is the black colour on the XPERIA XZs, it looks kind of matte. Plus the camera bump makes the phone much more beautiful lol. XPERIA XZ PREMIUM I like it more because of the chrome but I have to use this XPERIA XZ because I bought it this year :(. Wasn't expecting Sony to release 2 new flagships (excluding the 2 midrangers). Looking forward to their flagships the next half of the year
