B.0.101) already and it really made my phone even prettier with my new downloaded paid themes. (paid themes but I didn't get to pay even a single cent. Thanks to blackmart. Haha) And it's buttery smooth now when browsing. Pretty phone with pretty awesome specs.I super love my xperia Z! ;)

But I have 2 things in mind while reading this, first is that maybe you bought a faulty xperia Z or worse a fake one. And second is that maybe you just don't know how to take care of your phone properly. I guess you knew already before buying this phone that this is the kind of phone that will need an extra care for it is made mostly of glass,so I don't get the point of you complaining about its built. You should've bought a plastic phone instead. And if you care so much of the flaps then you should've bought a charging dock. PROBLEM SOLVED!
i like evreything about this phone except the extremely poor build. This phone is so under built it is disgusting. the screen us just a few mills thick and the sharp corners on the digitizer glass and the fact that the glass goes right to the phone case causes it to break easily. I dont see how the digitizer could be separated from the screen without breaking it seeing as that the glass is glued to it and the screen is so thin. I have repaired a mine several times so far as well as my wifes which also had the antenna wire smashed under the battery and only had a few strands if wire not broken. my phone would not take a charge even afterbeing plugged in for a day when the battery died all the way and of course to remove it i had ti heat the back up and peal it off because its glued to the back of the phone when i removed the batter and charged it with a couple of leads i made and reinstalled it it worked fine but now i make sure go shut it off when the battery gets low. the port covers are easily damaged and stop sealing up and just fall out of place essentially rendering the waterproof feature inop. im really tired of glueing the back panel on everytime it getts f'd up. my experia sometimes emits a very loud feed back noise when held up to my ear then it stops when i move it away. i have ajusted the settings and have been able to minimize this effect but everynow and then it will still blast me in the ear right when i answer my phone. i do like just about eveything else about the phone that doesnt relate to the fact that it is very delicate and poorly built. if your looking at phones dont buy an xperia z if you cant fix it (the copay at tmobile is around 180 dollars) a new screen assembly is $135 to $170 no part on this phone is worth that much.

Please re-read my post~
I was teaching peo... moreThe whole thing is just stupid and shows how little most people know, even this guy you are discussing with here. So i will state the obvious:
THE PORT IS SYMMETRICAL/SQUARE BECAUSE IT SUPPORTS USB-OTG!!
This is normal, USB-OTG adapters have a square plug so they are impossible to insert in phones that doesnt support OTG. Not all manufacturers follow this standard, thats why some OTG cables has a normal connector but Sony and Nokia use the square standard to differentiate OTG plugs from a normal microUSB plug/port. Here is a pic of the Nokia plug for OTG, same as on my own OTG cable, http://www.fersun.com/2471-thickbox_default/genuine-nokia-ca-157-adapter-cable-usb-otg.jpg
And yes, people must, as you said, put the usb male connector the way we always connected them, with the USB SYMBOL FACING UP, its really that simple. Most cables also have the symbol so it can be felt with the finger which way is up, nice for people with vision problems and for all of us when its dark, my old cable that came bundled with Nokia N9 does unfortunately only have a printed symbol so i cant connect it without using the light from the phone display to find the correct orientation when its dark.
Edit: It could look like SOny has stopped following the square standard for USB-OTG, in pictures of Z1 Compact it looks like a standard asymmetrical microUSB port.

AnonD-78022, 19 Feb 2014Question, is H+ the same as 3G? I never experienced the icon 3G yet thanks :) plus LTE for glo... moreI sometimes seen 3G symbol when inside buildings with bad signal coverage. Sometimes i even seen the E symbol (EDGE, which is 2G but faster than GPRS, almost as fast as 3G) but cant remember seeing that in or around Manila, only in far away places like Angeles/Dao area. Was disappointed though, so slow, maybe it is fake and not really EDGE, i have used EDGE abroad and it had satisfying speeds, surfing was good, even youtube could work, not at all like HSPA but many times faster than standard 3g connections i encountered here.

Anonymous, 20 Feb 2014Try setting it to both. So if LTE is not available, it can use 3G. Thats not how it work, LTE can only be switched on and off, independent from the GSM/3G setting.
AnonD-78022, 19 Feb 2014Question, is H+ the same as 3G? I never experienced the icon 3G yet thanks :) plus LTE for glo... moreHi! H+ (signal) is same with 3G (term). But if you're using LTE, signal is LTE and the term is 4G. If you're using a Globe simcard, there's no LTE for Globe prepaid, only in Postpaid. That's why we are using Smart sim since they have LTE for Smart prepaid.
Does sony website on maintenance? iI cant access their website..

I was teaching people how to identify the top and bottom of the MicroUSB Male Head...
Ever since USB port was created~
ALL the cable covers will be labelled with the USB icon to indicate the TOP of the head....
Users just need to confirm that the icon is facing upwards then plug-in~
That will be almost ZERO possibility to damage the port...
I tried myself to do the other way round~
But without brute force you can't plug-in the MicroUSB Male Head...
You can see that the Female Chip Pin is actually lying on the bottom~
With the Icon and the shape you can't be wrong...
How hard can it be?
AnonD-78022, 19 Feb 2014Question, is H+ the same as 3G? I never experienced the icon 3G yet thanks :) plus LTE for glo... moreH+ is much faster than 3G.. Way much faster.. You can compare speeds on speedtest's app. It basically means, the service speed available to you if you want to use the net. Usually inner city areas offer H+, and outer areas like in the provinces might only have 3G coverage .

Battery drain with mobile data on does in part relate to signal quality a... morenion i guess it's not about the services of either network, but on the settings you did on the phone. Regardless of either LTE or 3G, if The mobile data stream is active even when the phone is on idle mode, the battery doesn't last a whole day. Battery life depends on the owners usage of the phone. I medium-heavy user like me (games, surfing, other apps), battery life is less than a day.
