I have purchased Sonyís current flagship the Xperia Z on its launch date in India itself.
I bought this phone because it was the only superdroid available with water resistant feature which I thought would be a very handy feature until my phone got dead because of it.
When I was using it, its litmus paper near headphone jack got red, I donít know how, but it was red, but my phone was working flawlessly as it should be.
Even though, being proactive, I visited service center and showed them the red litmus and asked them about it.
The technician told me that phone is perfectly normal and has no issues and you can use it without any worries. I asked him to replace the flap as it could be faulty, on that he told me that it canít be replaced unless and until we donít find any problem with it and told me to use it as it is.
So I took the phone and started using it as it has no issues as per the service centerís representative.
During first rain, I went out to take some photos and videos as climate was very awesome.
I used it for few minutes in rain and suddenly I got message that the memory card is removed.
I rushed back to home and checked my phone I found it malfunctioned as it was not even getting booted up. So I went to same service center again to get it fixed. After keeping that phone with them for almost a week, I got reply that it canít be fixed as it happened due to customerís mistake. I went there as it wasnít my mistake but these guys are not ready to accept the thing even the service center manager also.
I asked them to do the water test in front of me but they are not ready to do this and the manager said" we are not authorized to do it"
They are asking for 31000 for a new phone.
Now my question is where I made mistake? , I followed each and every instruction as per the technician who checked my phone earlier.
My phone is still there at the service center and I am stuck in the middle.
I have submitted the phone on 3 rd of June but still it's with service center
Now what i want is before giving any decission sony should do water test of my XZ so that they will get to know that the flap is faulty it should be replaced.
If that techinician don't know anything about the Xperia Z why he said it's working fine and usit without worries.

However, it is far below the best in class such as the Nokia 808, Apple iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3. In particular, it exhibited a poor performance in low light conditions.
have bought this phone about a week. and i notice the screen have dead pixes. haiz, but well over all this is a good phone. yes the speaker is abit soft but can live with it. not as if soft til cant hear. really love sony phones.
after using it about 1 month, my camera suddenly appears black spot syndrome. and in my country (indonesia) it very often happen. and the customer service center sucks very much. even some of sony fans made petition for Indonesia Sony Service

As Z users if we can use Dock chargers and wireless headphones, the water resistance life will remain long..(I hope to buy if those are available in my country) Another important thing is before u buying anything, pls thoroughly check whether it is having manufacturing defects & QC passed..
(((For Sony Android 4ns type *#*#7378423#*#* and it will automatically bring the service menu which shows the entire configuration of your phone and you can test them and also reset it..__ If the kernel version ended with #1 , its QC passed. __ For checking original jelly bean, tap 3 times on the android version and it'll appear the Jelly bean + version and then long press the bean, it'll appear small moving jellybeans)))
