advice, 26 Apr 2013in youtube search bar write :xperia z drop test Hello advice! Remember me? Anyways, what's with all the "gorilla glass is end all" stuff? Get real! There is no saving once a phone of this size falls on a concrete floor facedown. I have a note2 and don't expect it to survive such a fall (it does have gorilla glass). I also have Xperia ZL (had Xperia S before) & honestly think sony devices have a way better build quality than Samsung (which easily yield to daily wear n tear, bezel paint chipping off, sqeaking, flimsy pasticky feel etc., let alone surviving a drop/fall). All these drop test are pointless imo as I've seen note2s shattering from just 2 feet high while others surviving 4 feet drop!
Xperia Z is a very good smartphone. Each phone/brand has its pros n cons, so does the XZ, or GS4 or HTC One. Hence, I buy the one that suits my needs better, whatever brand it is, and do not trash any particular phone/brand!

for the first time in a month it's midnight 00:04 and my Xperia z battery is still 22%!!!! I unplugged at. 9:45 am and sent two large 100mb files over Bluetooth,3 hours surf maybe whole day,2 hours chatting at intervals, watched couple of videos and played doodle jump half hour and have been on 3g all day! everybody in this forum dont allow battery to die at 0% everytime it never works!!! this should be done maybe once a week but instead u should charge mostly at 15% and do 6-8 cycles!!! this has helpee me as my Xperia died till 5pm everyday with same above usage!!!! opinions please???

bad low light camera
sometime certain apps just won't tap
problematic location for mic (just where you put your hand when your talking)
decides to go silent by itself...
other than that it's awesome, the camera is my biggest drawback but i'm still very pleased

Have you seen the video above?
And all the videos... moreas u might know gorilla glass is a scratch resistant and not break resistant ,so these drop tests depends on which part of the phone has touched the ground first ,in your video when both phones fell from the car,the iphone fell and rolled on its sides, while s3 fell on the screen surface which is the most dangerous fall,we might need to see the iphone 4s drop on the screen surface so we can give final judgment.
the gorilla glass is very thin but yet it is the most resistant to scratches ,and in the same time it is shatter proof (like the car glass)so it does not need an obligatory screen protector on the top of it.
the icons appear as if it was printed on the screen when using the gorilla glass and that is why viewing angles are great, also u still have the choice to use screen protector or not.
sony forces the users to leave the screen protector in its place,it is difficult to remove and had sony logo printed on it,the screen protector is easily scratchable and in few months u start to wish if u can just remove it.
sony could use a normal glass and no need to scratch resistant one because u have to keep the obligatory scratchable screen protector??!?!?!?!?!?!?
by the way i am using xperia phone with the scratched screen protector so i know exactly what i am talking about.
i am not a fan boy for any company,my next phone might be htc one or the s4.
Apache, 26 Apr 2013I think its because of Iphone hav only one button, and so,to be competitive, sony make the phone... morexperia z has 3 buttons: power/standby, volume up, and volume down. The iphone also has more than one button the power/lock, home, volume up, volume down and it also has mute switch.
