Anonymous, 22 Feb 2013the battery of this phone is just about 5hrs...
The most beautiful Sony phone yet
Wa... moreReports of the owners vary depending on how they use it. The big question is the total accumulated screen-on time usage. Some pro reviewers like engadget are pegging the continuous fiddling usage to be somewhere 5 to 6 hours.
One actual owner reported having 3.5 hours of screen-on spanning some 11 hours with 20% left.
Another with consuming 36% in only 2 hours connected to wifi- which translates only 5.5 hours of screen-on with that rate.
The battery conservation may be very well be excellent when the screen is totally off, cuts the radios and reduces frequencies of updates. But the actual uasage time of users and some pro reviews- internet surfing seems to be around 6 hours only.

Water resistance on a flagship device
Disappointing battery life
Poor viewing angles
The Xperia Z proves that Sony has what it takes to make a compelling phone in an increasingly competitive market, but issues like battery life need to be confronted, even at the expense of the design.
