Xperia Z is a good phone, but new HTC One will be even better than xperia z. Therefore I'll buy HTC One, sorry Sony!
yuuu, 21 Feb 2013many people said its not IPS. it's IPS screen. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Xperia_Zi'm not sure if i'm right or not wrong, but it's written "The Sony Xperia Z has a 5.0" 1080p TFT display (1920x1080) with a ppi of approximately 440.6."
This is a deal breaker:
"... that the Xperia Z didn't go beyond six hours on our battery rundown test. Looping video at 50 percent brightness, with WiFi on (but not connected), the phone managed a little over five and a half hours on our first test. That's actually longer than the Nexus 4 which also had issues going the distance at 5:18, but less than both the Droid DNA and the 720p Optimus G. Oddly, the Z model packs a 2,330mAh power cell, versus the 2,020mAh battery found on HTC's 5-incher. So what's going on here? We repeated our test twice, as it'd be a shame for an erroneous benchmark to sully the Xperia Z's name. However, the second round added only 10 minutes. It could be that Sony's screen tech is less power-efficient than HTC's IPS Super LCD 3."

jb, 21 Feb 2013what do you think about this dude ;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=el85dQDDSrY&feature=... moreVery good when hdr is off. The sound is good also, all sounds come through clearly and with less noise than on note 2. The Z is a clear winner, note2 seems like a total failure beside it.
Look at nexus 4 and listen when they use audio from nexus 4. So pathetic, the sound is so distorted beyond recognition. LG is so good as usual ahah. Joining Htc at the bottom of the bin. Btw, i cant help thinking of the fanboys who say that only fools buy anything else than Nexus 4. With that sound quality I think it's obvious who are the real fools.
what do you think about this dude ;
in video with HDR xperia z much more detail than the other..
labs is labs... not the actual experience...
emadshiny, 20 Feb 2013OMG look at this;
http://www.xperiablog.net/2013/02/20/xperia-z-sells-140k-units-in-first-wee... moreJapans population is around 130 million, lets say 140 million, then 140k is 1 in 1000. Thats not so much, but not so many people out of 1000 will buy smartphones in a one week period, and even fewer would buy from docomo, so then it is probably a good number anyway, depending how big docomo is.
AT&T sold an average of less than 200,000 phones a week in USA last year, lets say docomo sells less than that on average (much less maybe, USA has much more than double the population of Japan), and if japan is anything like the west then february is a bad month, and then 140,000 OF ONLY ONE MODEL in one week is a very high number.

That sounds like a very good thing, nice "touch" if you will, always imagined the front was all flat, as flat as the chest of my Ex girlfriend. Thanx God the Z will not remind me of her then.
Thanx for a detailed description of your hands-on experience.
OMG look at this;
140k units in one week and only in Japan.
perfect start for this beast.
htcplusLg, 20 Feb 2013Are u guys naughts? Or has sony magic blah blah blah blinded ur sights? How does xperia z beat... moreMe and my Xperia Z will laugh all the way to the bank when we see the HTC One drop tests. Droid DNA already proved to be extremely weak, with the front glass cracking from one foots height. Same as the back glas on LG. Its not a good idea to talk about Samsung plastic when you are a fan of HTC and LG, the two makers of really weak phones.

Some fans here thinks they know better and start acting like little babies. I fell in-love with the design, elegance and beauty. Under the hood is a great engine, powerful and fast. Still going for this beauty. You're gonna do great this year sony.
htcplusLg, 20 Feb 2013Are u guys naughts? Or has sony magic blah blah blah blinded ur sights? How does xperia z beat... moreI had HTC before and never again. Total garbage, was one of the most popular brands here 2.5 years ago and is now by far the most rare brand, even ZTE sells more now. Its pretty much the same in most of Europe, people have good reasons to stay away from HTC, all the bad memories, and some are still angry at them for selling so bad phones. I would go to iphone if HTCs were the only android phones available. Why would i buy a defective phone again, like once wasnt bad enough already?
This phone cost Y70K via NTT docomo
well HTC One is still not Available and will be Avail on March
Xperia ZL,and Iphone5s Will be Available on April 2013
The Difference of HTC one with Xp-Z

The problem is that in India some scientist claimed to have proof of cancer from cellphones, and while noone doubt Indian scientists in general, most, if not all, fellow scientists in other countries did doubt them that time, but the skepticism in the rest of the world remained unknown to the people of India, so we cant blame them for being afraid of high SAR values. I will still go as far as asking the people of India, did those scientists show you the cancer victims? Where are the actual patients?
I find it to be a paradox that people who are afraid of SAR values dont mind traveling in trains where people are cooking dinner on kerosene burners between the seat rows.
