If I change the ROM with the flashtool without unlocking bootloader or making root I'll lose my warrantly? Because I'll buy my smartphone here in Brazil and all the updates take more time to brazilian devices. However, I'll try to make a video if I find a issue in the smartphone.

trentnable, 22 Oct 2013No, it can't be added. You must have an IR Blaster which Sony does'nt have :/Xperia ZL have IR blaster
I am using this phone for 3 weeks now. I dont know why others complain so much but i am not having any issues with this phone. Battery life is good with normal usage. Every phone drains quickly if LTE is opened and use for internet or while playing games. Z1 seems to have average battery life when LTE opened. no signal issues, all calls loud and clear. above average loudness of speakers due to water and dust proofing. No issues after update. Viewing angles all good (maybe i got the panels that is leftover from SXZU, Lucky i guess). Overall satisfaction 9/10 not a fanboy just an honest opinion over my experience with my SXZ1
Hi I really want the Z1. Design, performance etc the perfect phone for me. But from a lot of comments I see, there seems to be many issues with it, camera, heating, screen lines appearing, antenna reception, blank screen, have to keep resetting etc are there really major issues with them? Please help out otherwise I'll consider going for Samsung (much better customer service if there are problems).

Anonymous, 21 Oct 2013Tft is lcd. Ips is lcd. Viewing angles is the only downside of tft, imo.TFT and IPS must both be present. Without TFT you'd be left with the old fashion array grid, i have seen displays like that and trust me they are terrible, very slow with extremely low contrast.
TFT is the signal distribution grid, while IPS refers to the way electrodes for each subpixel is attached to and how the electrodes manipulates the TN (Twisted Nematic) field inside the LCD cell. Trust me, IPS would look terrible without the TFT technology, non-TFT panels of old had severe pixel signal bleeding to neighbor pixels, and so slow that if yo moved the mouse pointer from one side of the screen to the other you would see like 20 individual mouse pointers, pointer trails were extreme.
Trust me, you do not want TFT to go away, its the single most important technology in any modern smartphone display.
Can Sony put all video codec support and 1080@60fps in a software update? O.o
