Martin, 26 Sep 2013Beware, I got the phone yesterday and they say it is scratch proof, let me tell you that this ... moreBuddy, the scratch resistant glass obeys a simple damn rule:
If a tougher material rubs it, it will get scratched. Now, a key is made from a tougher material so it will scratch any phone glass at the moment, unless is made of real diamond. If you buy a phone, you will buy a screen protector and a case.
Now stop your whining and enjoy the phone.Next time browse google before filling in forums with silly complaints.
Best of luck

AnonD-190703, 26 Sep 2013Guys...wants to know...whether z1 produces heat , tower complaints , battery backup... as im ... moreI was using the Xperia ARC over the Xperia T, purely down to battery. Now i have the Xperia Z1, Its truly outstanding the 2.2ghx with 2gb ram make a massive difference, The stamina mode helps, i stopped using it and put the stamina mode on at 11pm with 83% and woke up at 7:30 with 82% its amazing. I've not had any heat issues at all. The camera is top quality can really tell it have 20megapixels, Go out and get it.

I strongly recommend you buy yourself a case and a protective film as both the back and the front part of the phone scratch very easily...
VERY DISAPPOINTING for a SGD 1,000 phone...

Anonymous, 25 Sep 2013Z1 lasted 12hours 34 minutes to be exact, i think its an impressive result. However, it depend... moreDo you even understand what the guy said smh he said the phone lasted the entire day and night and even 5hours of use the next day before it hit the red that means he used it for over a day and the some before he had to charge the device. Next time read carefully and try to understand and what hurts most is that there was a chart underneath with the battery usage over the alotted time frame so check again.
Anyone know if this still heats up like a microwave ove.. I mean the Z especially when you're playing graphic-heavy games? The most recent update for the Z brought back that experience.
sonylover, 26 Sep 2013i hope Sony would do another sexy phone like a SONY XPERIA ARC S 2 soon... :)Already done with Xperia T, TX. Those were the flagships with the Arc design, after that Sony moved the Arc design to lower midrange. They cant go back now and use this lower midrange design for any high end phone.

AnonD-59047, 25 Sep 2013You sure the S4 Has better battery life? On many other sites the Z1 beats the S4 in video play... moreZ1 lasted 12hours 34 minutes to be exact, i think its an impressive result. However, it depends a lot on firmware, as one can see Engadget only got 5h34m out of Xperia Z, but with newer firmware i can get around 9 hours out of the Z using MX Player.
Quote from engadget review,
"The improvement in battery life is even greater. On a day of light to moderate usage, including some camera work, the Xperia Z1 lasted for a long day, a night and five hours of the next day before hitting the red -- at which point it still had enough juice for a few more hours. Only once did we manage to kill the battery within a day -- and that was a 17-hour day that involved a one-hour Skype call over WiFi. In our standard looped video run-down test, the Xperia Z1 lasted over 12 hours"
Hitting the red means 15% left, 15% is enough for many hours of light usage, and these numbers are always with stamina mode off. However i dont understand why he mention the skype call, that doesnt drain the battery that much, unless it was a Skype video call, its very likely, why else would he bother to mention that?? In that case its makes it more impressive.
