BananZGan, 18 Jan 2014So...I have a question here can anyone give me suggestion please? I am going to get a new ph... moreZ2 is ok if you want a very big phone at 5 to 5.2 inch. Dont expect Z2 Compact to come out anytime soon, even the fullsize Z2 is months away.
So...I have a question here can anyone give me suggestion please?
I am going to get a new phone of Sony as my previous phone is very lag.
I am going to use it for taking pictures, listening to music so no doubt that Sony is my first choice and I hate Samsung either.
I will also use it to watch movie, play games and read slides (power point),
should I get this phone or just wait(maybe Z2) ?
Currently I am using Sony Xperia J, and I am from Malaysia.. thanks
Matsumoto, 17 Jan 2014keep positive! But you better wait Xperia Z2 Compact instead if you going buy Xperia Z1 Compac... moreAgreed, very likely the Z2 Compact will be available already by that time since Sonys upgrade cycles are less than one year.
A Sony employee revealed to one of his friends that Z2 Compact will have 4.5 inch Full HD display, and theres no doubt it will have Snap 805 chipset. I wish Sony step up their internal storage before its too late, its gonna be hard to justify having only 16GB on flagships in 2014, and Sony even insist on having 8GB on upper midrange phones and only 4 on lower midrange, they are losing lots of customers this way and they seem to not care (introducing T2 Ultra with only 8GB shows they are not willing to let reality sink in)
hopefully with the 720p screen ,the price will be lower than the z1 in a lot ...
Kantutan, 17 Jan 2014Thanks Sony.. This is my dream phone.. Too bad my Samsung Galaxy S3 is still in good condition... morekeep positive! But you better wait Xperia Z2 Compact instead if you going buy Xperia Z1 Compact in Dec 2014. :-)

Anonymous, 16 Jan 2014Isn't its screen IPS instead of TFT? i thinks its ips triluminous display
Look at that contrast from extreme angle, not only is it IPS but a top of the line IPS.
Anonymous, 15 Jan 2014Where's your source for this? From Norwegian carrier websites. Taking preorders now, with availability week 5. Unlocked prices with one year contract, cash down is NOK 199 for Z, 499 for Z1 Compact, 1399 for Z Ultra and 1599 for Z1, thats an example form chess.no
Kris, 15 Jan 2014In Norway the phone is priced (the cheapest alternative) like this: Xperia Z1 Compact: 4500... moreCant really compare the prerelease price with already released models like Z1 and Z. Im sure the Z1C will have its average retail price nearer the current price of Z than Z1. Anyway i heard that Z1C may be coming to Norway and the other Nordic countries already this month, its a good place to keep an eye on for prices then.
Omos, 16 Jan 2014they has been blinded by samsung and iphone. sad caseWell, the thing is more that most people arent interested in this size phones yet, i believe the market is turning but the general public need a lot more time to catch the emerging trends. And not everyone are early adapters, lots of people are having their first 5 incher or phablet just now, whats old news to some of us is still the latest and greatest to them. In any case the smartphone market is big enough to accommodate flagships in all sizes from 4 to 6.4 inches, hope it continues to be like that.
The phone is very powerful, but if the price cheaper than this its gonna be so freaking awesome.
Persian USer, 15 Jan 2014How come this phone is not among the top 5 in daily interest. There must be something wrong here.they has been blinded by samsung and iphone. sad case
Persian USer, 15 Jan 2014How come this phone is not among the top 5 in daily interest. There must be something wrong here.It is because the xperia t2 has stolen the limelight i guess...i still prefer this phone...
