Xperia Z1 Compact would be highly overpriced if it's gonna be released above 30k in Indian markets. Nobody will buy it at that price tag in India. Nexus 5 is a budget alternative for Z1 Compact at 26k
the xperia zr has 2300 MAh with 4.55 screen and 62 hours endurance rating. the z1 compact has 2300 MAh with smaller 4.3 and better chipset that saves more battery . so it would have higher endurance rating than 62 hours.
great battery life !!
usd $500 of this phone a little high... I think $450 is ok for this phone....
Anonymous, 10 Jan 2014please make it no more than 450USDI agree. I put myself a limit of 500USD. According sony it should cost more than the xperia Z but less than the xperia Z1. Currently both priced respectively at 430 and 570, so 500 is right, however they were much more expensive on release. I guess the 500 mark should be reached by August. I waited sooo long for such a device. Well done sony, it seems you realized at last what people want. Greetings gsmarena friends.
Lutho Banzi, 10 Jan 2014No. It is actually very bad. TFT screens are very bad to read in direct sunlight. TFT is a technology of screen, like super amoled,p-oled(flexible),ips LCD,slcd, clear lcd,tn lcd.......u said that screen which are poor sunlight readability is tn lcd(old technology)
in Z1 f they using two different panel supplier. Yellow version used panel from JDI and White version used panel from AUO.
Lutho Banzi, 10 Jan 2014No. It is actually very bad. TFT screens are very bad to read in direct sunlight. FYI, AMOLED, IPS, SLCD and etc are all fall under TFT category.
You obviously don't even know what is TFT....
Lutho Banzi, 10 Jan 2014No. It is actually very bad. TFT screens are very bad to read in direct sunlight. TFT is not a panel little kid.
Finally! A perfectly-sized Android with high-end spec! Too bad I bought another phone a month ago... T_T
unknown, 10 Jan 2014TFT is the best for reading under sunlight i assure you.and stronger oneNo. It is actually very bad. TFT screens are very bad to read in direct sunlight.
It is IPS + Triluminous
Quoted from GSMArena "Nevertheless, the 4.3-inch 720p IPS panel results in a more than acceptable pixel density of 341ppi, and features Sony's Triluminous display tech for some very sharp imagery."
I've read on The Verge, that it's not a TFT display, but an IPS LCD display.
"XPERIA Z1 COMPACT section"
The true rival of all the Apple Iphones..... This is going to be a trend-setter. I was wondering why all the big players were going for large screens to define flagships.. Anyhow, glad to find a right sized phone with right specs. Thanks Sony!!!
Jin Hsu, 10 Jan 2014Sony said it used IPS panel not TFT, please, change that!TFT is the best for reading under sunlight i assure you.and stronger one
If this costs over 30k then I don't think people will purchase this rather Z1.
IPS is a type of TFT:
Same as TN or PVA are types of TFT.
So don't worry, be happy!
