Newman, 07 Jan 2014When did a 4.3" screen become 'mini'??2013, same year as that comment went out of date.
Besides, it isn't screen size that matter - but outer dimensions.
This phone is very very nice...I love it, and I'm gonna have to upgrade to this. Am currently using Xperia T and it's very good.I don't have any problems with it but I need this Xperia Z1 Compact.
hope the speaker sound has been improved. as sony has always made low quality speakers in the previous flagships.
the phone looks pretty good
maybe the releasing date will be announced soon
perhaps the price is quite reasonable
all over the phone is perfectly designed
Noushu, 07 Jan 2014When will release Sony Xperia Z1 Compactits very very costly
This is perfect, as for me.
I'm currently using Xperia V because what I'm looking for is a phone with just the perfect size (not so big or small).
With this, perfect size + full specs!
Compliments to Sony! To bring some high specs to the compact/mini version! Really compliments Sony! !!!
Great move by Sony making basically the minibversion of Z1 and keeping mostly the same internals. No other Android OEM has done this. This is the way to go Sony ;)
I would have gone after it if it would have had 4.6 or 4.7 inch. I think it would be small in hand. Will have not have good gaming exp as we experience in larger screens. Good tiny and powerful thing but just a smaller screen
Well, at least this phone brings some variety in monotonous line of similar devices. However, it's going to be very expensive (I would expect price tag very close to one of regular Z1). Also, I think that Xperia V is very capable device for those who need similarly sized (like Z1 Compact) phone with good hardware, waterproof but 2 times less price tag...
Ideally it should be priced somewhere 100 euro more that Xperia V to become noticeably popular, but I'm sure Sony will try to charge for premium and very likely it will significantly reduce customer's interest. I think taking into account current situation, Sony needs popularize its devices rather than scare customers with high price tag, but it's really up to Sony....
