Review of Z1 Compact:
- Performance: Perfect for all day use, and above average to heavy gaming (although small screen isn't comfortable in that).
- Design: Perfect. It has everything anyone would ask for, if you like smaller devices, like me. Only drawback is that back and front scratch quite easily. Solution: a screen protector, and a case solves the issue.
Issues: almost none, it's a bit bulky and heavy for it's size and competitors (especially compared to iPhone 5S), but I don't mind it that much ..
it's been with me for almost 6 months now and still loving it ..

thank everyone that answer
do you think i can buy and use this fo... morethat depends on your preference .. if you like smaller phones, then I would say definitely Yes.. especially I dont see OEMs are going to be producing such small AND powerful devices in the upcoming years ..
However, note that 5.1 will be the LAST official update from Sony .. and possibly, Android M will be the last custom this device gets .. so, if the latest software isn't an issue for you .. then what are you waiting for?
thank everyone that answer
do you think i can buy and use this four at least three years ?
Do you think this phone is suitable and useful or benefital for now to buy ?
What about next three , four or five years later ?
Lollipop upgrade installed today. Upgrading was smooth as silk. Small changes in first look, but some nice improvements from Google. This is great phone. Only bad thing I can say is that back side gets scratchy quite easily. And that being worst thing tells a lot :)
Anonymous, 19 May 2015hello there..please advise what to choose..I can't really decide over this phone or z3 compact... moreIn daily use not a lot of difference, apart from slightly larger screen. I actually prefer the Z1 compact seems more sturdy.
hello there..please advise what to choose..I can't really decide over this phone or z3 compact.. Z1 compact is great phone but Z3 compact is even better? (it must be)..The price difference is about $80-$100..I am thinking if it is worth it...my last phone was xperia tx but I lost it.
roj, 13 May 2015How to upgrade into lollipop bro?help pls..thanks..Download Sony PC companion for your computer, and install it. After installation, connect your phone to your computer, and in the PC companion app, check for software updates. After that, follow on screen instructions carefully.

Anonymous, 12 May 2015is it worth paying extra for z3 compact or is z1 compact good enough? That's a tricky question. Well, it depends on the price. If z1 compact is real cheap, go for it. Z3 compact is a very small upgrade from z1 compact. But z3 compact is more newer, so means it has a longer support cycle.
is it worth paying extra for z3 compact or is z1 compact good enough?
I updated my Z1 compact to lollipop a month ago. The update is great. Camera low light performance has vastly improved, and the front camera now has less noise and more detail. The battery life is good, lasts 2 days with mixed usage(I use stamina mode). Battery charges slower, not a big issue. And the icons are a little big. Other than that, the update is great.
Z, 30 Apr 2015same here my Z1 compact take too long too charge, it takes me almost 3hrs to be full. please f... moreMine did too after update, twice took over 2h to charge, but after a couple of charges it looks like it adopted
Now under an hour to charge, and lasts a day and half on heavy use (browsin, listening music, watching video mostly)
