contacted the xperia care and asked them about the lollipop update for z2.The guy told me that lollipop update notification for all the devices was sent but because it was sent all at a time there was a server crash because "too many people tried to update their devices" so they removed the system files from their servers and "the update may come tomorrow or in the next 10 to 15 days" but eventually the device will be updated to lollipop.
disclaimer:this is for only the indian version of the device.

I am planning to buy Z2. But I heard a news that Sony has stopped producing mobile phones and their service centres will shut down within 2-3 years. They are concentrating on play station and home appliances. Is that true? Is it safe to buy z2 now?

Because the sony charger ep880 takes nearly 3hrs to charge my xperia z2.
