I have an app which monitors the phone temperature and I'm averaging 31*C on standby, 35*C when I'm web browsing and 38*C on games (may vary). I think this is a normal temperature range. I should be worried when I get to 40*C and above because I barely get there. I think the "overheating" problem has something to do with the "heating feel," on how heat is easily felt and I think it has something to do with the Z2's glass construction, i.e. heat transfer. I think the "overheating" from what I've searched only applies on the 4K videocording, while some on the camera. (V) So overall I think you shouldn't worry about the heating problems because I think it's normal and like what I've said, may have something to do with the glass construction, how the heat is easily felt. Again, the overheating problem applies only to 4K videocording. If you have questions regarding the Z2, I'm very happy and willing to help you out.

hekmat666, 28 Dec 2014I'm a bit confused about what to buy..the xz2 or the xz3 compact..for Sony fans..any suggestio... moreSimply go with Z2, it's a superb phone just like Z3, it is also cheaper than Z3 compact (atleast in my country) Z2 has a more premium built glass n'metal compared to glass n'plastic of Z3C also it has full hd resolution, rest is upto you but i'd still say Z2 has an upper hand.
The display keeps on Autosensing even with Glove mode off which is reallly annoying

So I finally got to own mine, and here is MY review. (1) Starting from the exterior, it definitely is stylish and classy. Had some people stare at it for sometime while I was getting the screen protectors on. From what I saw, majority didn't recognize what it was except for the giveaway Sony logo on the front. (2) Performance was amazing, I got no lag in between apps, no matter how fast I switch from here to there. The UI is simple, at first a bit confusing of course when I first got it, but it'd easy to get the hang of it after some expeditions. When you keep it simple, you keep it fast. (3) Display was among the best, everything's crisp. Though I haven't test it yet at full brightness. Might not want to keep it at maximum brightness when you check your phone at night, it's darn bright.(4) Sound quality is great, though there are some vibrations on certain sounds, which I think is normal. As for the earphones, I sadly didn't get mine with the DIGITAL NOISE CANCELING. Instead, I got hooked up with the standard MH410. What I can say is that I'm impressed. It's a lot different from what you get on a Samsung (experience). You definitely can tell the difference. Played with the ClearAudio setting. Though the bass is kind of weak when I tried Calvin Harris or David Guetta. (5) As for the camera, everything was good with the Superior Auto. Though I'm quite disappointed that the SA only works till the 8MP only. Shots were great above the 8MP, though they tend to look a bit soft and washed out, I.e. raw shots. Hopefully there will come an update for the camera. Video recording was majestic especially at 1080p60fps, smooth and the sound too, but focusing seems to be a bit naughty. Haven't tried the 4k recording though, but I think it would be similar to the 1080, just sharper on the screen. Managed to record about 2:30 minutes on 1080p60 before heating warnings popped. It might have something to do with the usage I perhaps have done previously. (6) For the battery, it will last days on standby. I managed to get 4 - 5 minutes per 1% with WiFi and web browsing. For the games, I haven't test it out just yet. Charging from 60% takes more than 30 minutes, I noticed some stuckage on 99%, which I think has something to do with the measuring system. (6) Overall you get a very nice package, though there is no killer feature other than perhaps the long battery life, shutter button, IP certification or PS3\4 support, I think it's best to be humble. I haven't tried to test it underwater because I just got this and I don't wish to risk it just yet. I think waterproofing stays true unless the unit has some defects of course which we cannot prevent. Sony is doing its job right and no false advertisement. Have been a long user of Sony and in case you have noticed, Sony has less models than some competitors. I think you will never get wrong with a Sony as I have, though sometimes it gets you wrong, just remember that someone didn't want someone to get wrong. Satan's part of the game. So the only issues I get on the Z2 are the overheating when the screen is on for sometime and the fingerprint magnet on the black color (shush with the racism). Even though you are the best (good), people will always find your flaws, downsides or negatives. They never notice the goodness and that's a fact. If you have some questions about the Z2, I would be happy of help, I'll keep on testing the device.
I'm a little confused between Z2 and Note 3. I know the specs, but i'm looking for others experience
Any advice ?
I have been using Z2. It is an excellent piece. The only issue I have ever faced is its wifi recognition.

AnonD-315626, 26 Dec 2014HI ALL, just want to sharing hands on review on my xperia z2 that i used about 3 month and ... moreI think the phones are manufactured keeping in mind that you will keep it in the front pocket & not the back pocket, so you keeping it in the back pocket is not a defect/disadvantage of the phone..its plain stupidity on your part to do that
