I just ordered this phone and can't wait to arrive! My only question is: How long do you think the caps on the sides will hold off before they break? I hear a lot of negative things about this issue and if this happens, the whole "water-resistant" feature becomes worthless. Will I still be able to use the phone without the caps? Thank you.

bi bought THE "SONY XPERIA Z2" last week and here is my take on the beast.
great build quality: It looks and feels like a flagship, it just oozes style, i like samsung's previous designs but lets face it GS5 is just plain ugly.
no heating issues no lags so far.
after recording 4k video to its limit it shuts camera app to cool down which is, I can live with that.
less bloatware, 128 gig sd support, and the sound is amazing, if you have the bitrate in your songs this beast will deliver, get a decent headphone and it'll blow your mind. even the stereo speakers are the best i've heard yet
I read a lot of criticism about the display, and damn are they wrong. Its super crisp and clear even the outdoor visibility is awesome.
I am loving every second with it. and the battery last about 28 hrs for me with a lot of use

sooooo disappointing, my Z1 cracked and to get a quick turn around I upgraded t Z2. it lasted 1 month then cracked rear glass in my jeans pocket. it has the exact same problems as the Z1 doesn't ring when customers call me, turns off mid phone call just reboots or wont restart at all. Its not suited to anyone rough or outdoors, unreliable real disappointment. definitely couldn't recommend it! im self employed and my mobile is my business. The GPS and camera cant be viewed with polarized sunglasses on !!!! I have had I phones for five years and regret swapping. try harder sony!!!

I've been thinking about buying this Z2. Somehow I've been considering about the Oppo Find 7 too.

when i press my z2 from the lower-back under water ...bubbles come out from those three holes at the bottom ...does that happen to you or not ?

been using Xperia Z2 for 2 months now.
what i notice about it:
* it speedy charging. it is fast compared to my samsung S2.
* Awesome sound. Loud. i would recommend you guys to lower down your volume as people can hear your conversation clearly. otherwise, it'll look like you are doing loud speaker.
* music is fantastic. the base, the sound. absolutely awesome and super fantastic!
disadvantage :
* i installed a game that required touching a lot and i played the game quite intensely. there are times, the touch screen just hang (frozen) that will required me to reboot by taking out the simcard and place it back in.
* whenever i took a picture, it would auto burst non stop until i need to lock the screen and unlock it to stop the camera function.
* there are times, where by i didnt even have to touch my finger to the screen at all, all i need to do is to make sure my finger is close enough and the application just pop up. Incredible right? but nah, i am just a traditional person that love the screen to pop up when i touch my screen.
well, i guess my major problem is the touch screen sensitivity.
so overall, i love this phone so much. but there are things that required me to go to the SONY centre. they are going to ask me to leave my phone and for the mean time, i refuse to be separated with this lovely, manly phone. yeap, my other-half gimme this phone :-)

Hey guys! How's the signal strength of z2? I also want to know about surfing and downloading speed of z2.. Does z2 surf and download fast like s5, m8, etc?? I m living in India and i use Vodafone 3g. My current phone is Sony Ericsson neo v and it's max speed is 300 to 500kbps with Vodafone 3g. Can z2 give me higher than this??

guys i purchased tis phone from july daily charging by using usb port now the usb port pop out itself i tried clean it but it wont last longer after few days pop up again ( i removed warranty sticker, so cant claim warranty) shud i replace a new usb flap or use otherway to clean it? gv me example TQ
