The rest only do 5 minutes, although why I would want more than a 10 minute 4K videos escapes me!

The unfortunate bit of Android World, however, is that they will now try to differentiate themselves by the speed and resolution. So expect next generation of flagship phones come with 1440p screens, which is a major drain on battery for literally 0 advantage over 1080p screens.
I wish more focus was placed on autonomy heat reduction, rather than pure numbers race… Kinda like having a 40 megapixel compact cameras…
AnonD-300234, 31 Aug 2014So would u suggest z2 or iPhone 6, if iPhone 6 comes with the mentioned specifications and des... moreiPhone and Z2 have very different ecosystems and are not directly comparable.
You would need to write down the pros and cons of both of them, where iOS has some advantage on privacy (where you can limit apps from sniffing around your phone), which Android's many apps, and nearly all free apps directly spy around your phone, even sifting through your confidential data.
On the other hand, Android phones mostly allow you to slide in an SD card to expand storage, and give huge customisation options, along with support for native files (meaning you can load video or music file into the phone and watch them directly without having to convert them to phone's format first, and load with iTunes).
Also most Android phones have some sort of standard resolution screen, like HD or FullHD… which allows you to watch movies full screen as they are ripped from Bluray or downloaded from the internet sites. iPhone 6 will come with yet another stupid screen resolution that will require resizing everything to fit the screen, by that causing blur and/or artifacts.
It is good to see Apple finally increased screen size, but while that would make reading websites and email, etc. better, it will upset people who want a pocket sized phone. Which 4.7" is not really.
I am one of those people who had every Apple's iPhone from the original one to 5s. And a whole series of other phones, Android and Windows ones. And I can tell you that like with many of my friends, iPhone is getting more and more idle time.
It used to be way ahead Android up to about iPhone 4. Then other manufacturers and Google with their OS started catching up on it, and I think vastly exceeded their offerings compared to what Apple does.
I still happily use MacOS X, and like it a lot more than Windows, believing Apple's decisions were far better than Microsoft's. But in mobile business I think even if you go with iPhone 6, you will switch camp not long after, and join many of us former iPhone lovers.
The value that iPhone represented in the past is simply no longer there. Really only bits that keep it afloat are premium branding, less sniffing at your personal data by third party apps, and more optimised software for the hardware (obviously Apple makes both hardware and software and can make optimisations that Google, which needs to support a huge variety of hardware could not).
So my vote goes towards Sony.

Sony says that's not included in warranty, but admit that it happens a lot.
Actually it doesn't happen any less often than on Galaxy S5, apparently…
But just wanted to ask if any of you has the same issue. I don't.
zor, 30 Aug 2014does z2 overheating problem when playing high graphic games more than 15 min and recording 4k ... moreOverheating with 4k recording is still there. But that is if you do continuous recording of that time. Not if you are doing short clips, allowing the processor to cool down between the clips.
On gaming overheating is not much of an issue, nor is it any worse than on other phones of similar specs.
So don't panic.

Z2 has best optimized android OS out there, without any lag in usage as Samsung and LG flagships have
It also has the best battery life
Plus you get stereo speakers on it
And a lot more of the best but these facts are enough reason for someone to choose it
elegantaddiction, 30 Aug 2014I am a windows phone user and used Nokia Lumia for quite sometime now... It has an excellent s... moreAndroid phones have best software no matter what others try to convince you, but it is most resource hungry. Z2 has best specs out there, so resources are not a problem and it works flawlessly. IOS and WP os work flawlessly with less resources but that os due to a fact they lack features:
IOS is a closed os, means you are practically dependant on apple products only ( screen mirroring only to appleTV, bluetooth sharing onlly to apple phones and computers,...)
WP os lacks features like NFC ability, screen mirroring, wifi tethering, file manager,...
So I suggest you do yourself a favour and get Z2, because Z3 which will be even better will drop the price of Z2...
Glad I could explain ;-)

Guys,is that true sony will release Z3 at this year? Ijust have my Z2 for 4month
I am a windows phone user and used Nokia Lumia for quite sometime now... It has an excellent software without any doubt. Now I'm thinking to buy xperia z2 but I have heard from everyone who are Android users that software is basically a problem in android phones for various reasons... Is it true..? Because I like z2 very much but I don't know abt its software that is it good or not.. Moreover IPhone 6 is going to be launched in September... What you people suggest should I go for z2 or Iphone 6... IPhone has better software or android phones does......?????
Z2 and z3 are practically the same or is there any difference..? (If z3 launched with the mentioned specifications) I made my decision to buy z2 but then I heard z3 would be announced in the first week of September, so I'm confused now which phone to buy.... Plus z2 vs Htc one M8.... Which one is better......?????
Z2 is built for those who value elegancy, beside better performance and built quality than all other brands in the market. of course after IPhone.
Can Z2 read Pdf? I Searched FAQ and openions but couldnt find sure answer.
