S5 and Z2 are almost the same except in water proof features and cooling technology Z@ is litle bit better also in ram .,.,a little dissapointment on s5 .,.,

3d games are superb....it's a 49500 phone costly than my laptop.....it's a vry gud phone....like it

You should use" superior auto" mood: for normal shot!
You can improve new firmwear(17......) update for your Z2!

Sony Z3X (not to be confused with Z3) to be released 2nd half 2015 - 6.14" QHD screen, 22mp camera, s810 chip. I shall be waiting for this phone if the rumours are all true.

You should know Z2's built_in " Liquid Heat Pipe COOLING " technology
It is a new tech that is "only" available in Z2!
As you said that you will buy Z2, you can boast Z2' s new technology such as " Live colour Led tech, noise Cancelling tech, camera features and so on!

Charging dock pulls charging connector out of the phone. Sent for warranty repair. Came back - same problem. Plus waterproof cover for usb charger constantly popping out by itself within minutes of putting it in. On holiday atm, needless to say won't be taking phone in the pool. And back-ups have never successfully restored data to phone. Refund when I get back. Camera overhyped. I got a few good shots on it but conditions have to be so perfect. For daily use I get blurry crappy 20mp photos a lot and 4k video constantly jellying trying to refocus, regardless of the autofocus mode it's in. Having used iPhone for years I massively regret jumping ship to Android. Can you tell I don't like the Z2? Not sure if that comes across in this message...

I realize many of those were "duh"-like questions, but the reason I asked is cos I see so much Android phones that use default themes/backgrounds/ringtones and it got me wondering if you can't change them without rooting or something silly. But I guess the people are just lazy :P
Just trying to do the research so I'm not surprised by any downsides if I decide to go for an Android-phone this time around :P

3. many many thing you can theme change UI (launcher) all the things without root, root is ony required for extra stuff, like setting cpu voltage etc(unimportant for normal user)
4.yes yes yes, any email that have calendar sync can sync with default calendar app
btw i cant sugest you to ask any question here because there are many many fanboys and unreliable info, just like "z2 has COOLING tech" comment down there, i never heard of this mysterious cooling tech, on the other hand ive heard z2 suffer overheating in 4k recording, but ill buy it anyway, no phone is perfect, but FOR me Z2 is close enough

anj, 21 Jul 2014Nexus5 or Xperia Z2..... Which one is good? I am confused. Please reply ofcourse xperia z2..... it is far far better than nexus 5 in every aspect.... if u just need wireless charging then you can go for nexus 5.. otherwise.. xperia z2 is best phone in the market....

(2) Z2 has 3g RAM but s5 ,2g ram
3g RAM means that you can manage more apps fast and smoothly
(3) Z2 has premium design
(4) For softwear wise, Z2 has double tap to wake, glove mood, smart call handling, fantastic camera features , FM radio," stereo speakers": sketch, noise cancelling headset
