I have tried everything to fix it and it seems to be how the phone is made. Also, the loud speaker on the phone is muffled too. The alarms and ring tones are not very loud compared to the iphones. The camera is good and the sound quality is great when watching videos except the videos stop working if watching via Facebook. This phone is good as a tablet but as a phone it is very average at best.

The people have spoken, the Z2 owns the HTC One M8...go read GSMArena blog. Pretty much won every category! No it is not my opinion but that of the people who voted! Love HTC, Sony and LG (G2 & G3) but truly believe that the Z2 is the best smartphone out there right now so suck it up, haters!

All screens ... moreTheres many types of TFT screens, for example IPS is also TFT and even AMOLED is TFT. You see, TFT is simply the way they use to address each subpixel to control it and is basicallly the same across the line for all displays. panel types is another story, what you call Sony TFT is actually a variant of TN panel (Twisted Neumatic), and what you call IPS is actually a TFT-IPS display. Thats your problem, you are mixing up different individual parts of the display.
About Z10, i dont agree that it is so good for a IPS panel, it has low contrast on low brightness, just see how difficult it is to use the app Planets on low brightness, even if thats an app that you will use outdoors at night and its still that bad. No, BB Z10 display is too lacking in contrast and is too power hungry, its an old and mediocre IPS technology, probably made on Sharps older production line, or possible with LG's old manufacturing methods, you know the one that made Nexus 4 have so bad screen-on time, thats really a poor mans IPS.

Deunan, 21 Jun 2014For those who want 4GB - 5GB of ram on the Z3, you do know that Google would have to make Andr... moreNot necessarily true, with Intel x86 running Linux you can have 36 bit memory addressing on 32bit OS by using a PAE kernel (Physical Adress Extension) and as you know Android uses a Linux kernel. ARM processors (probably) doesnt support PAE but you can run Android on x86 phones like the Moto RAZR i so 5GB is no problem on 32bit Android then.
I used lots of Linux installs with PAE kernel and never ran into serious problems as long as i recompiled all kernel modules. Some versions of MS Windows Server 32bit also had PAE support but unlike Linux no desktop version of Windows had PAE support. Well, everyone know that Linux is superior so no surprise there.

I am using this phone for last one week.
basically there r three issues
battery backup and browsing time as being told by this site is not true.very bad browsing time.
loudspeaker for walkman is really disgusting
heating problem.

For those who want 4GB - 5GB of ram on the Z3, you do know that Google would have to make Android 4.5 a x64 bit OS instead of the current x86 that 4.4 Kit Kat uses. Great Specs either way, Z3 should be interesting...

Sony Z2, 20 Jun 2014Ive been using the z2 now for a couple of weeks and oh boy.... such a dissapointment.... Well ... moreI think you need to take your z2 back if your having them problems, I have had my z2 for 2 months and does not have any problems that you say, it does get warm when throwing high processing apps at it but my HTC one and galaxy s4 got a lot hotter, seriously take it back you got a bad one, mine is awesome
