Take it back and get it fixed, mine is awesome and im not a sony fanboy im a htc fanboy lol but the z2 is pretty freaking awesome

I have used this phone for 3 weeks now and this phone is not all good, Poor software quality spoiled android by Sony itself, Sony smart band not that smart, Humming sound in receiver when you open a application try it on your Z2 it always happens, battery drain , software problem click something something else opens. Good fashion accessory though. :/

I have a dew in my camera after I put it underwater (1/2 body phone) and there is a gap...

This cell phone is classic cell phone if anyone have have a heating problem n camera shutting down after 5 min so i hav call customer care she says dont use simple memory card only use Ultra high speed memory card so please everyone try this i hv try n its success now my cell working superb i m happy with my Z2

I have using the Xperia Z2 for 3 weeks.
Its a great phone. Yes, its has heating issue and the speaker volume is average and can be said as low volume. But that disadvantage is still okay with me. If volume loudness is your concern, dont buy this phone. Anyway I m happy with the phone...
I have problem with Wifi connention when begin using it, then I decide to Reset the phone on the first day using it,the problem gone.
I m not going to update the firmware update from sony for the moment because from my experience,firmware update always make you system a little slow or stutter.
When it come to smartphone choice, just think what feature and function that you like or prefer. what you want and what you dont want....no such thing as perfect Smartphone

I have tried everything to fix it and it seems to be how the phone is made. Also, the loud speaker on the phone is muffled too. The alarms and ring tones are not very loud compared to the iphones. The camera is good and the sound quality is great when watching videos except the videos stop working if watching via Facebook. This phone is good as a tablet but as a phone it is very average at best.

The people have spoken, the Z2 owns the HTC One M8...go read GSMArena blog. Pretty much won every category! No it is not my opinion but that of the people who voted! Love HTC, Sony and LG (G2 & G3) but truly believe that the Z2 is the best smartphone out there right now so suck it up, haters!

All screens ... moreTheres many types of TFT screens, for example IPS is also TFT and even AMOLED is TFT. You see, TFT is simply the way they use to address each subpixel to control it and is basicallly the same across the line for all displays. panel types is another story, what you call Sony TFT is actually a variant of TN panel (Twisted Neumatic), and what you call IPS is actually a TFT-IPS display. Thats your problem, you are mixing up different individual parts of the display.
About Z10, i dont agree that it is so good for a IPS panel, it has low contrast on low brightness, just see how difficult it is to use the app Planets on low brightness, even if thats an app that you will use outdoors at night and its still that bad. No, BB Z10 display is too lacking in contrast and is too power hungry, its an old and mediocre IPS technology, probably made on Sharps older production line, or possible with LG's old manufacturing methods, you know the one that made Nexus 4 have so bad screen-on time, thats really a poor mans IPS.
