It means more bolder than natural colours

Babar, 11 May 2014What is colourgumtColor gamut is the number of colors displayed by the display compared to the sRGB colors.
If you want to know more read the following. Lets suppose our eyes can see 500 colors Just for example. Then that 500 colors come in the visible range. Now among those 500, some 250 colors are in Adobe RGB that is a standard defined and used for viewing photos. Those colors are ideal for photography and viewing general phenomenon in photos. Now among this 250, 100 colors are called sRGB. This is the most used colors and most displays can only produce these colours. So all the content for display is only made in these colours as most displays produce it. Now lets say a display produces pony 67 colors out if those 100. So its colour gamut is 67. If a display produces 120 colors then it's colour gamut is 120. Now more colour gamut is not considered very good as those lead to unnatural colors or not accurate colors as they also display colours that are not in sRGB and hence the display us inaccurate as the content is in sRGB but the display shows it out of sRGB.
That's what I was discussing. But people took me wrong and fired badly like fanboys. So the xperia z1 had around 100% colour gamut and Sony's latest love led tech adds more colors and hence the color gamut goes above 100% and display is not accurate or natural now.
Anyways, the display of z2 looks a good deal better than z1 Thanks to IPS panel.

I think I'll pass with the Z2, I just got the Z1 last november and I'm still enjoying it. I wish you luck guys for your Z2 purchases. ;)

You can compare any android smartphone in the market !
If you go eye care center and check your eye problem
In real life, all z2 users are very happy with Z2 greatest and most accurate IPS display

Currently i'm using Z1 compact, i loved it a lot, battery is very good, screen is sharpy and amazing, but camera is average (of course better than my iphone 5S). i thought Z2 have a much better camera.

How is the audio recording in this Phone. I am looking to get a new phone. The recording in my Huawei Ascend Mate is hopeless, its sounds like a radio.
My friend has a NOTE(1) and the recording is amazing. It was sounding like a professional live recording. this was a quiet outdoors.
I play the guitar and sometimes I get some tunes in my head and I want to record it and all my past phones were really bad recording.
In my room with the fan nothing is audible I even tried the Huawie earphones but its still bad and lot of static.
But the NOTE of my friends records very clearly and you can hardly hear the fan sound in my room.
If the sound recording is good I would try and go for it though its way above what I would pay for a phone.
Also a second question Anyone know any other phone that has good audio recording(should have 720p display at least 1GB ram Preferable 2, quad core and a battery life atleast that of the Z2 or more.)
I tried searching the net for the best phones for audio recording and nothing shows up. Looks like people are not bothered about audio recording.
But I feel it is an issue its the reason why NOTE has such good recording. Because its supposed to record dictations I guess

Ali, 11 May 2014There are some serious problem with X2. First there is an overheating issue. Second the camer... moreOnly when recording 4K videos over a very long period. The phone warns you and then shuts the camera down to cool off. Clever eh! I can't see the point of recording 4K videos, included as future proofing by Sony, when 99% of people do not have a 4K TV to play them back on! In general usage, the camera is stupendous and has no problems.

Who the hell wants to use their phone as a remote when I already have a remote control? If that is the only reason to buy a phone, suggest you don't but go buy a universal remote control instead and save yourself a lot of money! Duh.....!!

[deleted post]I don't have z1 and z1 has the worst screen I saw in my life after xperia z. It is accurate but the contrast is washed out and viewing angles ate pathetic. Z2 is a serious advancement in picture quality and contrast but z2 has a less accurate display.

The display had vibrant colours. Just that's the reason for its being non accurate. See, natural colours look dull and the display is not so good. But I'd you increase the colours or the color gamut, the display pleases the eyes and looks better.
I am also saying the same. The display looks good. But that doesn't mean it is accurate.
I hope you understood me. Thanks for understanding.
