I'm surprised GSM Arena hasn't heard about the problems of the early adopters of the Xperia Z2 of Singapore - gaps between the front panel & side frame, and overheating when using the 4K video recording:

Sony advices only to use the 4K video recording "a few minutes at a time" or else the camera app crashes from overheating. Is this the quality and sacrifice of designing a flat thin slab we can expect for every 6 months of new flagship devices from Sony?
Tsk Tsk. I'd stick with my Note 3 for my 4K video recording without overheating problems, or gaps. So much for "waterproofing".

I don’t know why so much debate about which phone is the best. Sony Z2 may be the best but if there is no supply and takes months to meet demand, it’s useless. The phone is taking ridiculously long to release, especially in the US. By the time it reaches the demand, the LG G3, Note 4 and next Sony flagship (Z3?) will be announced or released. Why cough up so much money ($700+) when it will be dethroned in a matter of months?

iboy, 08 Apr 2014Yes, S5's fingerprint scanner is totally rubbish compare to one on iphone 5s. Samsung is the champion of half-baked features. Amazing how much defective software and useless features Samsung can squeeze into a phone.

I own XZ & S4 Active. And now, I'm looking for another phone and the options are S5 or Z2. But having Xperia & Galaxy together make me be able to compare what both manufacturers are offering from their flagship.
I found my XZ lacks of features, even the basic ones like Call Block & DND. And Xperia still relying 3rd party app to send files via WiFi direct, and the receiver must have and open the same app. That's troublesome.
On Galaxy I can easily send files to other Galaxy smartphones without having the receiver to require any app downloaded, it just works like Bluetooth.
And last but not least, takng picture is very slow between each snaps. S4 Active is faster but my iPhone 5 even faster, but that's iOS. I prefer Android as my phone and my iPhone 5 now acts as a iPod to me as I am no longer using it as a phone.
S5 or Z2? Dillemma. Z2 with its 3GB RAM and beefy battery is so tempting.
