JX, 28 Mar 2014i'm planning this phone by next month.. since my previous phone is S4, and this is my 1st xper... moreand you're right about your speculations the replacement was crucial among to the non removable batt. not only the sony but it also the numerous HTC One series and the Famous software brand like A-Lister Iphone has also non removable.
but in a matter of fact, in order to prevent the degenerations of battery life if in cased u owned a non removable ones, you can maintain to handle one unit everyday, and the multiple phones would be more prone to health hazard to be consumed everyday.
IP58 does not mean that it is water resistant to one meter for 30 minutes. It means that it is waterproof to 3 meters indefinitely.
when it available in india ??? i wanna buy this device....and any news about india release ??
i'm planning this phone by next month.. since my previous phone is S4, and this is my 1st xperia. i want to know about battery life based on sony's previous flagship (anyone know about how poor it was at that time), is that right?
what should i do, if xperia phone battery getting degenerated. since this phone unremovable battery should it be trashed by the time that case happened?? well, sammy has removable battery so if its getting poor i would trash it and change it with the new one..
I am planning to buy this mobile. Please let me know ur opinions. How is the picture quality? As superior auto mode shoots only 8mp pics. If 20.7mp is choosen from msnual mode it will be in 4:3 ratio.. So users if anybody has compared the original pics taken from it or has idea about camera quality in comparison with samsung note 3 or s5 please suggest me..
xperia z2 doesnt sport Quantum Dots??
emez, 28 Mar 2014Well if you're not sonyericcson or sony fan,you are wasting your time here.i have been using s... moreAs i stated in my first post i own a Sony Z1 Compact, i also own an HTC One(m7).. i prefer the HTC One purely because of the true to life screen... both v good phones... just my personal opinion. A phone might be good on paper..great specs etc etc but untill you get hold of it and use it for 3/4 weeks ..one cannot express an opinion as to how good the phone is. Real world use is what counts, not specs on paper
Freakymous, 28 Mar 2014I hope Xperia Z3 have 23Mpix or 27Mpix of course with more bigger sensor too. There will not be an Xperia Z3, because BlackBerry has launched a Z3 model just recently.
On the white model, the bezels are still black. I think the bezels should have been white on the white Z2. No go for me.
In Germany, Amazon sell Xperia Z2 at €599 which cheaper than Galaxy S5 that priced at €699. Sony is more reasonable than Samsung :-)
Jmack, 27 Mar 2014Im waiting Xperia Z3 in july or august .. please sony , 32 gb and with snapdragon 805.. I hope Xperia Z3 have 23Mpix or 27Mpix of course with more bigger sensor too.
Every Mobile Phone manufacturers have meet the very good ends that able to make customers into a satisfying results (just like an automobile manufacturers obtaining a good quality or even a sophisticated prospects.
now, as we talking and debating about high-end phones that actually made by numerous highly-industrialised country or a worldwide large-scales productions
there were been a minor-scale or a country-based industry of mobile phone makers that were only confine on local peremeters at a reasonable costs
here i'm Philippines there were five top local brands of cellular manufacturers Cherry Mobile, Star Mobile, Torque, My|phone and the rest, the newly Cloudfone
among five My|phone is physically tough among local brand whilst Cherry Mobile were among'st the inferior quality
cuz i've own that two at a separate time-frame, first i've own Cherry, then four month later the lcd broke w/o any warranties now i've own my|phone and still no possible breakage,
so that's the stories of our local brand and there were be needs satisfaction of durability rather than sensitive.
if anyone produced and inferior quality Mobile Phone manufacturers upon their considerable large-scale status so be careful! because it is more difficult to convinced the customer to buy again ur products that they had already a trauma on their passed.

The war of best smartphone flagships in 2014-
1.Samsung galaxy S5 with snapdragon 801 is a beast. With good camera 16mp phase detection autofocus with isocell sensor and much of cam tweaks..but grossly let down by build quality and firm factor and in pricing.
Add to its negativity its releasing a exynos true-octacore 5442 variant in India and other asian countries which all know its a below par cpu and cannot match qualcomm watsoever..
2. Htc one M8 is an exciting phone with same snapdragon chipset 801 with minor difference and adreno 330 gpu with all aluminium unibody build quality.. What's disappointing is again the camera of 4ultra-pixel of wat htc claims its Better than many flagship phones..
But unfortunately its not..its below par quality of photo even with dual camera gimmick its providing though..
3. This is where sony xperia excells where the other two devices fail. It has got the excellent build quality with all elements from glass n aluminium.. And a perfect balance between premium look and design appealing to consumers..
It also excells ahead of htc in camera and in IP 58 certification.... Where you can have your xperia for underwater shots..
Though Htc boasts of beats audio and boom sound speakers.. Sony lives upto it in tge form of true Walkman™ experience in its both hardware n software..
Htc speaker output might be the best at the moment..
Samsung is sub par with these two devices in both audio and speaker sound.. And has gimmicky music player with boring music fx..
Samsung has plenty of sensors which are useful and its fingerprint sensor is one of a kind not to forget its gimmicky heart rate sensor and so on..
What samsung really does a good job is in providing the S-apps(health,note,memo,voice,etc)
Well if u want to choose a device for its gimmicks and inferior build nd design quality with one of the best camera then Galaxy S5 is the one for u..
But if ur looking for a perfect balance between design and look and feel factor and the cell which vl perform better where it really does matter to most of the users then its Sony Xperia Z2... With one of the best Camera Display and an amazing build quality and perfect device on the whole..
If camera and price is not ur area of concern and looking for awesome audio output with the best build quality and public appeal then HTC one M8 is the 'one' u r looking for..
that's why there is a difference between water-PROOF and water-RESISTANCE
FYI, IP certification is based on 2 individual numbers.. ip67 of samsung s5 or ip58 of some xperia phones.. the first digit is for the dust proofing *note the higher the number the better. the 2nd digit would be the water proofing... so in the given example samsung's s5 is better with its dust proofing certification and xperia z2 for instance has a better water proofing hence the 1 meter deep for 30 mins underwater certification while s5 and other phone with ip 67 is just water resistant...
I m planning to buy z2.. I want reviews of users of previous sony flagships regarding the walkman clarity snd output.. Is it better than poweramp? Is it giving the same effect like in those in sony-ericsson made devices long back?
And how is the camera? And video playback support... Just want user opinions on this. Pls do guide me.
