Pros: Best built in Quality and gives some status. IO... moreUmm, you're having such good positive feedbacks here. what you said up there are really true from my experiences and friends'.
If i would to give mine, i'd like to tell that iPhone 5 or 5S are the best in terms of phone & apps performance, touch sensitivity, speed, battery life, re-charging time, high security (if not jailbreak), user-friendly, lots of free apps (of course, most apps are both purchasable and free), consistency of apps designs and UI, there are some more....oh, i really love the feature one Apple ID can be used to sync all phones...and the security of Find My iPhone!
Second recommendation is Sony Z1, and probably Z2 (haven't bought and used it yet!)

interface not yet tested for xperia z2
XPERIA Z2 is the overall KING with 1225, over HTC with 1071 in second place.
Z2 is also third in gaming with 25 172, under HTC which is first with 26 328
Z2 is 7th in browsing while HTC is 8th...
S5 standings is not worth mentioning, except in browsing
so overall Z2 is BEST smartphone as of today!

Apple phones: 4s and 5s are best phones
Pros: Best built in Quality and gives some status. IOS (Unique)
Cons: Too Costly, Almost you have to buy every App.
Nokia: All lumia series
Pros: Known for best camera and windows phones.
Cons: Less Apps, slightly difficult to use & thicker phones.
Samsung: S3, Note 2 & Note 3 are best. (S4 is also good but not that great it is having some lags).
Pros: Number of models in all Price range. Lot of features like smart stay, sensors & etc.,
Cons: All looks like same no matter how much money you invest.
Sony: SP and Z series
Pros: Good Built in Quality, slightly cheaper than others, having good camera.
Cons: If you got repairs, simple you have to go for new one means individual parts are too costly.
HTC: One and desire series
Pros: Good built in Quality, great touch sense UI, good speakers and having beat audio.
Cons: very sensitive, battery backup is not good.
LG: Only G series and Nexus series are the best in LG.
Motorola: Moto G and Moto X are the best mobiles.
And other companies I never used them so I am unable to tell.
Note : This is only just my view……….

This is why Sony and Apple designs hardly change over the years. So expect OmniBalance to be around for a while. Speaking of price it's totally justifiable for the z2 to be more expensive due to the materials used. I personally would never pay more than 400$ for a phone made of plastic. Speaking of plastic, galaxy phones are probably about as high quality as the sim card tray of a Z1. Any real Z1 owners would know just how bad that is.

Although this phone is super awesome ..everything is improved...the 16gb internal is kinda smallish considering present generation and flagship status..u will only get 11/12gb and u can only install apps on it...nowadays apps are so huge that i think it will fall short after some time...

SONY put some buttons on your phones!
Look at Samsung, yes their phones are ugly and plastic but they have buttons.
The main upgrades of any smartphone, regardless of how good the camera is, are the cpu and gpu and let's face it, games are the main reason for more processing power and a few game look quite appalling with buttons on the screen and all off the would look better without them there.

Xperia Z started off a whole new series, where Sony departed from their trademark design (curved back) and corrected serious mistakes (Xperia S with the missing card slot). Xperia Z was the original, Sonys first phone to step up to the rivals, followed by the uninspiring Z1, and now finally Xperia Z has a worthy successor in Z2, the second great flagship.
Z1 Compact being some kind of newphew, i admit its good but hope the Z2 Compact improves on some of the less than stellar aspects about Z1C (plastic back and low ppi display for a flagship)
