AnonD-92587, 01 Mar 2014no mate, better cpu, more ram, better screen, better speakers, nice improves for design, bette... moreThe CPU has a lower clock speed, the display is an LCD, which is worse than an AMOLED of the same size and resolution, experience with the Z1 has shown that the 20MP camera is worse than 13MP cameras in most circumstances (see the reviews snd photo compare tools) and that the battery life for web browsing and video watching is pathetic, and the UI is primitive compared to TouchWiz, in most respects. Granted, the Z2 is one of the best phones out there, but it is the S5's near-equal, so I don't understand why everyone says the Z2 is better. And what major upgrade is the Z2 from the Z1, anyway?

well done Sony.....Z2 screen is using the most advanced screen with live colour led...thats why it is the best ips dislplay...and stereo speakers is also a big improvement.

AnonD-92587, 01 Mar 2014who wants such thing dude?! ;)He/she probably means IR blaster instead of infra red port for files transferring like Xperia ZL and Tablet Z have. One device to control almost all your home electronic devices - televisions, audio, projector, air conditioner, blue-ray disc player, microwave oven, set-top box etc.. automatically changes the remote control profile whenever you move to different room in your house - living room, bedroom, kitchen, garage, library, office etc.

Why only 16GB of total internal storage? Android OS alone requires around 8GB of them to run. What is left is only 8GB for Apps. What a 16GB will do in a high-end smartphone? Isn't that a stupid decision? They keep stuffing smartphones with specs that we might never use or need but when it comes to internal storage that we need mostly for apps and guess what!! they try to cut cost on that crucial part. I want to remind you that Apps does not install on external microSD (whatever size), so if you install 5 demanding games of 7.5GB (each is 1.5GB) then your smartphone is screwed dead because Apps cannot be installed on microSD. Even if some utilities try to move the app to external microSD, the app becomes unstable & crashes alot or simply may not work.
Currently I am looking for a smartphone with 32GB (if 64GB is unavailable) with 5.25 to 5.7 inch display. I found "Galaxy Note 3" with 32GB internal storage is a good candidate unless I find something else more appealing to me. "LG G Pro 2" is also good if it has 32GB internal storage.

There is nothing to upgrade from Z1 to Z2.design looks same.UI as usual sucks not great but still fast.one of the reason I figure out people would buy this phone is for it's camera but shit on SONY camera is the same.can do 4K but it uses alot of memory and sony just have 16 GB model.I mean seriously SONY u don't know how to make phones.I'm going to buy NOTE 3 still it is the best phone you could buy.and SAMSUNG really is the best at making good phones.

It is the smallest upgr... moreno mate, better cpu, more ram, better screen, better speakers, nice improves for design, better battery, newer os, more accessories and way better UI with an awesome camera capable of 4K video recording with amazing features and ... this is not called an small upgrade at all, it's a dream for every z1 owners and a mind blowing device for anyone else who likes it's style :)

AnonD-238718, 28 Feb 2014finaly sony using ips+lcd display. it's more better then tft display.yes man, its so better indeed. i've seen the comparison between z1 and z2 displays, its way better, brighter, sharper and with more vivid colors and way better viewing angles too, so thumbs us :D

Stupid Samsung..!!
If we have to unlock the phone by SWYPING on the fingerprint sensor, its better to do it on the screen like before...!!
Also, Swype up, down, left, right_none matter on the screen...!!!!
