AnonD-184641, 25 Feb 2014yup...and the one on top covers notification led and earpiece too..I'm glad LG will deal Samsung Galaxy S5 and Sony Xperia z2 present g3, this will not be able to copy it especially Samsung, which will wipe the floor with s5 and Z2, be careful what you say, do not underestimate the LG model g3 will be bomb phone, believe me

sony do the best , but i think 3200mah is not enough for - (3gb ram + quad core 2.3ghz + full hd resolution + 2160p video record)

Z1 is more economical and in comparison it better.
I will not replace my current z1 for z2 because I will lose too much euro.. But if I was buying now I would definatly give 150$ more to get the Z2 instead of z1. Better and bigger screen in same size body (actually smaller in width and thinness where it most matters), front facing dual stereo speakers, 3gb ram, bigger battery are huge upgrades for me. Don't care much about 4k video and slighly better cpu but they are both welcome additions.
From the Z-> Z1 ->Z2 it's like sony actually listened and answered to all their costumers.

Wel this is a smart move by not switching to 2K resolution!
I mean..even d basic apps, presicly d games,..do not run such much smooth on 1080p coz they are not optimized for that.
So any1 who buys a phone with 2k resolution will be know for his lack of knowledge about them !

I'd seriously consider buying this phone against the new Samsung S5, IMO the new Samsung is overrated against the older S4, I'm sure Samsung could have done better, almost feels like they are following Apple now.Looking at what is chucked into this phone including the storage eating camera, I think this phone will go towards my next upgrade =D

Sony brings in another winner. Fast internals, beautiful display, great camera, sexy aluminum frame, waterproof design and battery free noise canceling earphones in box make Z2 a complete device in every respect.Wish sony brings in Z2 compact with these improvements and a mid sized 4.5-4.7 inch display up from tiny 4.3 on z1 compact considering the fact that on screen buttoms consume some space too.This makes it much better than cheapish looking S5.

I am glad that Sony finally joins the high end smartphone market and beats the flag bearer Samsung Galaxy. Well done! Well done!.
Samsung has alinated us who were their fans by removing the Radio Tuner Hardware from their Galaxy series.
Now, I am going to Sony or LG, as my end of contract approaches.

it still don't have usb 3 and not complete dust protection. best to have ip68 rating with usb 3, 128GB micro SD support

wow, this in my opinion is better than the galaxy S5, the design is not boring like the S5 either. the only thing this one lack is the finger print sensor but u get 3GB RAM in return. good job sony \o/

This is awesome! The specs are definitely mind-blowing! I am having a Xperia Z now and I can't wait to get my hands on this upcoming power gadget Z2! It's time for a significant upgrade of my mobile phone in 2014. With such a powerful core chip, stunning screen resolution and much lasting battery life, I'm sure I will fall in love with Z2!

I bet all Z1 users feel used and betrayed... ja, ja... imagine... the Z1 came out in sep. 2013 and 5 months later sony decides to go for an "upgrade"... although truth be told, differences are minimal... And what's up with those HUGE bezels... man... Also, I´d rather go with gorilla glass 3 than "Shatter proof and scratch-resistant glass"... that is bs!

problem screen, 25 Feb 2014BIG PROBLEM is screen. Why Sony represent dragontrail ANTI SCRATCH glass, when they put stupid... moreso that protective scratch resistant sheet is a deal breaker for you ? lol...(me too hate that thing...but it wasn't a deciding factor)
well,then there is a good news for you...those 'useless' protectors are not there on Z2... :) (watch erica griffin's hands on video on youtube)
