I have sony Xperia Z2 and am running Lollipop 5.0.1 and see nowadays the version of Marshamallow is available for z2 my dosent alert me i had my friend upgrade his phone to lastest version i need some help if there any problem or something like this if someone had the same problem i would be very thankful to him i really need help to upgrade my phone

before doing the downgrade please install drivers in flashtool! Install Flashtool drivers from the following location: C:\Flashtool\drivers Tick the #Flashmode Drivers# and # Fastboot Drivers# to install.

Again found another 1 error I use magnectic charger. Doesn't response led inbmy cable..it used led under 10% red, upto 90%orange and 100% blue.now its lighting all the led at same time. WiFi range still sucks..whereas cam interface is loathe to use...this is all because of mm update....... Let's find other errr...

And I don't regret. Sony phones are super. Maybe you are aggressive user. Because my Z3 is 1 year old and I don't faced any issues.

Bought the Xperia Z2 US version in Dec 2014 and I must say that it is a good looking phone with solid features and snappy performance. Screen is clear but dust tends to collect and stick on the surface easily. Call clarity is good especially coming from the company with "Walkman" heritage. Also, the phone is waterproof with well sealing charging port, sim and memory card slots.
However, as of this day, within 1.5 years into its life, one morning, I experienced ghost touch issues where the "back" button was automatically pressed repeatedly. Hence, one could not open anything on the phone as it would revert back to the "Home" screen. Then, the ghost touch issue disappeared all by itself and the bottom portion of the screen containing the "back","home" and "recent apps" virtual touchscreen buttons stopped working completely. Rest of the screen is working as of now.
Took it to the authorized Sony service center in India and they refused to accept the phone saying that it was US version and cannot be accepted for service even if I am willing to pay for it (weird policy). Then, took it to a non-authorized service shop and they suggested complete replacement of front touchscreen as remedy and would cost about 40-50% of the phone cost. Was not sure about getting it serviced from a non-authorized shop.
Decided to take a chance with using an app to remap the three non-functioning on screen buttons to physical buttons on the phone such as camera button for home, volume up/down for the home and recent apps functions respectively. Currently, am managing to use the phone in this way until the rest of the screen stops working some day.
While technical glitches are possible in any technology, would have expected more service options from Sony and would expect a $450 phone to work for at least 3 yrs if not 5 yrs. If the life of this phone at $450 a piece is less than 1.5 yrs under mild use in terms of calls and other functions, I rather buy a cheap android phone of similar capacity for half the cost + similar specs and change the same every other year.

You can check and will be satisfied with Total Commandner apk.

Update file downloaded and updated without any problem in the first attempt itself.
I feel camera is not functioning good[images are blurred in the auto mode or in any other modes, long charging time - more than 6 hrs for full charging[though "charging rapidly.." appears on screen].
The camera tests [front and rear cameras] inbuilt in the z2 failed, while all other tests have passed. In fact I had not tested camera test earlier, since camera was ok.
Power saving mode Stamina and Ultra stamina modes absent in MM, while in LP, in Ultra stamina mode we cannot make calls, but only receive incoming calls, though Sony claims basic phone functions are available in Ultra stamina mode. The Sony service centre could not fix it.
Upgraded version of Total Recall software only functions in MM, whereas any earlier version of TR apk used to work fine in LP or KITKAT.

I had been reading XDA thread too, and I too upgraded it with damn fear in my mind regarding update. But it is very opposite of what i read atleast for me. I am a power user, and I seriously loving it more than LP.

To all of you wondering where the new update is, I'd rather waste some time reading as many opinions as possible before I upgrade my Z2 and regret later.
I can't show my gratitude to Sony for upgrading the Xperia ZL to 5.1.1 and ruining the battery life and not upgrading the same model anymore. Congratulations! Yes, I'm being sarcastic here.
As I said quite a few times before, failed upgrades really leave me wondering which brand to buy next, even once again having no issues with my Z2 and being Japanese myself.
I'm not saying that upgrading the Z2 to Marshamallow is a bad thing to do. I´m still doing a lot of research on this until the upgrade is available.

And I must add: no more multitasking . . When I try to reopen app , just starting from the start! And battery is lower than 5.1.1 same as wi fi signal! And no more x reality for display. But I am glad that for you works just fine.check forum and see it! Also some crackling in sound too! I instaled 5,1,1 and now all working very good! Cheers take care.
