Sony just isnt any good with software, you only have to look at the PS4 and compare it with the ancient Xbox 360 to see how primitive solutions Sony are using, low-tech workarounds that were barely forgivable in PS3 are still present in PS4 and its an outrage, they didnt do anything to rectify the bad situation, while MS made big improvements to already superior software tech, ie Kinect.
This is just how Sony choose to roll, its their mentality, they are not willing to go out in the market to buy tech they need or to hire expensive devs with special knowledge, they just keep their old crap and hope it slides under the radar.
hi guys ..help ! which model of z3 compact got a 4G network (LTE) D5803 OR D5833 ?? which one is better?? please reply thanks...
Got the Z3 Compact a couple of weeks ago and I am very impressed with this phone. Its my first Sony handset and 1st Andriod so it was a bit of change for me after nearly 20 years on various Nokia & Blackberry units. I really cannot fault it in any way and the real standout features for me are the over functionality and especially the battery life, camera and music/sound capabilities. Its very fast on all applications and everything you could wish from a mobile phone. Highly recommend this phone for a business professional who is on the move and requires a device which ticks all of the boxes that need to be ticked!
[deleted post]Don't go for xperia sp as it'll not receive any more android update and u have to stick with jelly bean 4.3
But m2 already received 4.4.4 kitkat and may have chance to get 5.0 too..
I bought z3c last wk, till date am getting my usage rate avg 1d14hr25m10s.is this normal?or my phone having battery problem? Please help
i was at a sony store yesterday and i saw a dummy of the orange version of this phone (somewhat red somewhat orange). it's a beauty, only if it is also orange on the front panel.
anyway, can we transfer apps to sd card with this? i was really disappointed that my xperia sp won't transfer my fb, games, etc to my sd card... and the phone keeps telling me that my internal storage is almost full (the phone is barely a year old).. annoying, isn't it?
also, i would like to know:
don't sony read the reviews here at gsmarena? ever since the first Z, the review was not good with regards to shooting in panorama... wouldn't sony do something about it???

my verdict after 2 weeks with this phone one word ....BRILLIANT.. battery life is the best I have seen on a smart phone to date 3 days and I am a heavy user ..ordered rhinoshield front and back screen protectors and a crash guard also this phone is perfection..
at 1st, I'm having hard time choosing between iphone6 and xperia z3 compact. when i had this phone...... forget iphone6!!! XD
DOn't know why but Sony phones have small fonts very hard to read. Samsung fonts are much bigger and pleasant to read.
For me, Sony is one of those companies that will always impress me, just look at this phone, its by far, the best in it category :D
Chamamen, 04 Nov 2014you should use for the back a matte or LCD film protection. Non of the Back o front are scratc... moreIt is because the Xperia Z had shatter proof plastic sheets on its back and front glass panels. They get easily scratched.
Starting with Z2 Sony gave up those sheets and it's just glass. However, I recommend some back cover at least because it's still very thin glass nevertheless.
