SonyFan, 10 Oct 2014But there are so many people who complains about it. Is the front glass panel still scratch ea... moreWouldn't putting an anti glare screen guard on the front and a decent cover on the back prevent a lot of damage?
MarCOax, 10 Oct 2014oh please... tell me what kind of bloatware you are talking about, and don't spare details! :D... moreOh please say you are joking? Im obviously talking mainly about the dreaded Whats New app that hijacks your Home button and cannot be disabled since 4.4.4. without using unauthorized USB hacks that voids the warranty. Im just not interested in having that crap pop up on me, im not gonna buy a PS4 or anything else PS until i see some real games for it, they dont need to annoy people with those ads, the price for selling one more PS accessory end up being selling many fewer phones. As long as the bootloader cannot be unlocked without bricking core functionality (like software updates) and voiding warranty these apps MUST be possible to disable or at least remove from the Home button.
I really cannot se Xperia phones ever becoming mainstream the way Sony is doing things now, they killed Vaio and had to spin off their TV division due to weird product designs and they are doing the same to their mobile division.
I think they used gorilla glass in this one? And the back panel is dragon trail. Cant confirm it though as I've only read it in some blogs. And when I inquire to Sony Forum, got no reply. tsk. Anyway, I just hope they already fixed the self cracking screen as what @SonyFan pointed out. Gonna wait a bit before ordering one since I'am still waiting real feedback on the self cracking issue.
Also glad there is no heating problem, though its still not tested enough. Don't want a phone the wont let you touch it after an hour of heave usage. :D hahahah..
Anyway, just want to ask, which do you think is better? not in specs but performance. LG NEXUS 5 or this BEAST? Except for the batter for the nexus though. Its terrible.

Anomynous, 10 Oct 2014Z1c was and is pure garbage, very bad touch experience and scratches like crazy thanks to the ... moreIt is so DISAPPOINTING to see some reviews about Z3C screen weakness. SONY, must have been playing with this gorgeous device that they're not treating it really like a flagship. Why didn't they use Gorilla Glass3, instead of some useless shatterproof screen. I was really excited to buy this phone but after seeing its weaknesses I'll just wait for the Z4 Compact. Also, the 20.7MP camera is inferior compared to Iphone6/6+, it is very DISAPPOINTING since Sony supplies most of the camera modules to other companies, yet their own are not on par with the competition.

Half of them could be deleted with easy. For example every Samsung flagship has 3 or 4 times more bloat apps (+just a few of them could be removed...). Sony has just a basic stuff + few extra SONY exclusive applications
SonyFan, 10 Oct 2014How about heating problem?I did not faced that issue so far. Only once, maybe. When i got the device - plugged it to charge but couldn't just leave it be. I was very excited with may new phone, so during charging I've kept using it. After downloading and surfing net for ~30min phone's back got a little warm. But nothing similar to be extremely hot
SonyFan, 10 Oct 2014But there are so many people who complains about it. Is the front glass panel still scratch ea... moreZ1c was and is pure garbage, very bad touch experience and scratches like crazy thanks to the shatterproof sheet on the display. Z3c doesnt have this sheet so it should be ok. But beware of Sonys bloatware, some people are leaving Xperia because of Sonys new direction, the cleanliness and freedom to chose that Sony Ericsson valued is gone, Sony will force you to use their bloat.
So, iPhone 5s is a good alternative for a compact phone, almost no software garbage and its a bit cheap now. Apple did force their users to have horrifying music on their devices with the free U2 album but they are allowing people to delete it from their iTunes now. Its still gross though, U2 of all things, lots of people rather have Ebola, and it is a concern if Apple will do something as stupid as that again. And by the way, Z3c isnt coming to Ph yet, only the oversized Z3 at first, they are trying to get rid of the horrible Z1c stock first before launching Z3c.
It could have a better secondary camera - 20MP, just like HTC did.
Anonymous, 08 Oct 2014I think much better if "Sony Xperia Z3 Compact" contained this specs: 1.Display.-... moreIn the real world, what would you do with that specs that you can't do with the actual phone?
BullCat, 10 Oct 2014How would you know if your Z3 Compact is D5803 or D5833?Go to android definitions -> about the smartphone (I don't know the exact words in english)
I just bought the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (Model D5803) and I only have to say good things about it.
I saw some comments about the screen being only 720p and 319ppi but to me this image quality is awesome.
There is no lag, it is very fast and the battery is really good.
My only concern was the screen not being gorilla glass, but we cant have all.
SonyFan, 10 Oct 2014How about heating problem? You can check on the review from NoteBookCheck.net, though the review is written in German, but if you scroll down to the temperature section, you can see the phone maximum heat that reached under their test is 39.9 Celsius, which is not bad (not using 4K recording in their test though). You can read more detail if you use Google Translate on it.
