z3c is the most fragile phone ever used in my life##seriously what was sony thinking about going on with installing the same glass design at the back..##my black glass on my z3c cracked when i droped it on the table...it was not a drop ...just placed it like 3inch drop (u know what i mean)..& later when i picked it i came to notice the back glass was cracked near the camera and it looks ugly!!
why would sony make a phone which cant even take a small beating?? my previous phone was xperia M - i used it roughly all the time & even droped it many times ONLY FACED VERY FEW MINOR SCRATCHES . considering this z3c to be a flagship device, this is the worst quality phone !!NOT HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE - i wonder why there is not even a single proper drop test of z3c on you tube...
Been using this baby for almost a year. Great phone altogether and worth mentioning it is the only phone of this size that has that much power and stamina. After the upgrade to Lollipop, the UI got a fresh look and battery still holding 2 days of heavy use. Lollipop also fixed a few annoyances in 4.4.4.
I have been using it without a case and dropped it a couple of times. I use it in water and dusty conditions often. Screen had a tiny meany scratch, back glass got a few scratches. It would seem the back glass isn't as scratch resistant as the front. Otherwise, nothing else.
I do my charging through a magnetic docking station. Buying a dock is a must for this phone as the flappy usb cover is not practical to use at every charge.
Pictures I have taken with it come out great and all subjects have appreciated the quality of the pictures specially in dark environments such as bars or clubs. It will compete handily with any S6 / iPhones on everyday pictures. I didn't do a detailed examination of the quality but I'm guessing the Z3c is behind the competition when you start zooming in. The camera button is a great and makes you wonder why other phones don't do the same.
If you are looking for small and powerful, you can't really go wrong with this; and there ain't much choices out there anyway.
Jeffrey, 28 May 2015How's the battery life after upgrading to lollipop?Hungry really hungry.
Hello to everyone, past two months am using z3c, one of monster this z3c, in low price and high performance, forgot about the roofer and go for the best.
I don't have a compact it's just a z3 always had sony this is 6 and a half months old and my speaker seems to of gone I can't hear I have to put every call on loud speaker it went whilst on the phone, called sony they've said its probably an app problem?I don't as told followed there link that was sent wiped everything back to factory settings and still can't hear a thing, will be calling them again Monday morning but really hope it's still under warranty, has anyone else had this problem?
Update from my previous post a few weeks ago. My device is still 100 percent smooth and scratch free. Still I did not put any screen protector or any other protective stuff. Well I enjoy my z3c naked but it tends to be slippery sometimes. I drop the phone about 2 times already. I could say the built quality is superb. I never understood why some complain about self cracking and easily scratched back. I lived in the Philippines by the way so, everyday my phone undergo different stress such as dusts and high temperature but it did not crack or scratch. My only complain is that since upgarding it to lollipop the battery life cannot last a whole day. Hope they would fix this in the next update. Highly recommended smartphone.
I have been an xperia user for 4 years now. And my xperia mini pro is still doing good. It has already fallen countlessly and has never been damaged. Sony is really very good when in comes to quality. I want to have a phone upgrade. And i think z3c comes with good quality as well.
AnonD-378074, 26 May 2015I had Xperia Sola, now using Z3C about 7 days already. Works pretty well, but one issue. Nano ... moreOk I read all these comments saying there are phone issues with the nano sim entry pops up how can it pop up be a little realistic and there is no spring under the sim entry area so I think that's a lye, secondly about the magnetic charger, you have to be more careful when the section of the phone is open obviously water will enter to any phone,at the moment I'm using z1 compact and it's been nearly 11months that I've been using this phone and I had not even 1 issue with it,so I reacon you guys all that are making comments try to be more careful and none of yous can go wrong with SONY,kindly regards
is it true z3 compact has a long life battery ? but it's only 2600mAh
the ph is great..lots of features and easy to use. However,, very easy to crack the screen and then very very expensive to repair.. nearly $300.00!!! I am careful with my ph and in fifteen years have never damaged or lost one. Three weeks after I bought this one it mysteriously got a little crack and then top third of screen is now useless!! Not very happy. I think I will go back to my previous brand even though for me the Z3 is a superior ph in every other regard.
Jeffrey, 28 May 2015How's the battery life after upgrading to lollipop? In hard use 1day maximum
i recently updated my z3c to lollipop and created another user for my lil bro, since then the fne heats up and the battery drains probably 4 times than before the update
i'm a proud owner of the z3 compact. Really have no other options to upgrade this year. i was thinking of s6 edge but it is too expensive and has no memory card slot. Tried it hands on in a nearby store and it doesn't feel good on my hand. slimmer than the z3 compact though, i give it that. Now that my z3 compact is rooted and debloated. It is just superb and fantastic, battery life is awesome, size is perfect on my hands as well. I don't know what would it take for me to change from the z3 compact to another phone. Maybe a better design with similar size. Until then i will wait. This is the best phone out there if you need a compact size.
Anonymous, 27 May 2015So based on your comment you own 3 sony mobile phones in less than 4 months (2 z3 compact and ... moregod...that guy really was a dumb troll with a dumber comment.i have a z3c and it has no problems at all.i just don't get what these guys get by bashing sony.
Well, I'm using Z3C for the last 7 months, its an amazing phone in terms of performance.
After one month of buying, phone suffered sudden death, but Sony customer care replace my phone with a new one, and after lollipop update I fall in love with my Z3C.
Major drawback I think, - it's a non reparable one, you have to replace it if trouble occurs.
And yes, if you are looking for a "Phone" rather than a "TV" ( in pocket) then this is for you.
Anonymous, 27 May 2015Why are there many trolls in this section? Honestly what do you get from telling lies in the o... moreYeah, it's good phone, only problem nano sim flap. This is really annoying, have to send to warranty. It keeps poping a bit up and may harm waterproof.
Why are there many trolls in this section? Honestly what do you get from telling lies in the others and promoting other devices? I just read comments in other flagship phones and there are really many familiar names in there that I found I here. Please do criticize this device but in HONEST and professional manner only.
AnonD-266222, 27 May 2015The phone has a magnetic charger flaw from where water entered and my camera, gps etc stopped ... moreSo based on your comment you own 3 sony mobile phones in less than 4 months (2 z3 compact and 1 C3 dual). so you mean that you bought c3 dual and it has defect, you go to sony service center no support. after 1 and a half month you bought a z3c and then it has defect then you go to the sony service center and no support. And you bought another z3c and same thing happens again. Really? Of all the trolls and lies I read this is the most dumb of all.. Next time make it realistic ok? Try harder and get life.
