AnonD-361203, 08 Feb 2015Hi, can anyone help me? I'm planning to buy it because I hate big phones and I am always disap... moreMy z1c whixh is equivalent to z3c has 11.8 gb usable mem of 16gb on board. I m not such a big player so it is more than enough for me, though for some isnt.
Have 5 over 1gb games, 10 other 100-400 mb games, and about 50 apps installed, still 3 gb available...
Hope this helps ;-)
Hi, can anyone help me? I'm planning to buy it because I hate big phones and I am always disappointed about the duration of the battery and it seems a very powerful device. Still, I would like to know if there is enough space for apps. I had HTC before and althoug you can force some apps to move to the SD card, some of them are impossible to move even if you route your phone. So I had costantly problem of space (plus useless HTC Sense takes so much memory). Second, I would like to know if it will get Android 5.0 soon and if it's not better to wait for an hypothetical Z4 Compact. Thanks!
Hi guys if u r planing to buy this mobile without any doubt go for it. I am using this mobile now since 3 months and I am fully satisfied with this Sony mobile.
Buy it for-
# Nice camera
# Durability, as I dropped it several time but still the same as new not a single scratch.
# Battery stays almost two days of heavy use
# either it is not 1080p screen but with bravia technology screen is brilliant believe me its almost the same as full HD.
# sound is excellent either on speakers or headphones.
# portability, as its compact but after using it doesn't seems like its small as I was using 5.5 screen mobile before.
# looks premium like apple.
# only my concern is as accessories are not vastely available in local market. Or expensive
Hope my review will help u in purchase.

Volume and power b... moreActually, sony recieved only accolades for its design and button placements. A perfect unmatched design for one hand use, that is copied now by almost every other manufacturer.
You do keep your sammy though, after all you got used to that power and home buttons on top and bottom, that are just clumsy and illogical on a 5 inch and above phones...
Guess that is why doubletap wake was invented, which is also quite unnecessary
This could have been a perfect phone
if sony had done the design better
Volume and power buttons have been softened but still placed in awkward position and the magnetic charging points are again placed horribly in the middle of the phone and to top it all a curved design like the stupid iphone 6
Sony has done a fantastic job here on screen quality , audio and call quality . and not many people will know that it comes with high resolution audio technology.
the day sony improves its outer design elements I will throw my samsung in dustbin
Glass breaking on sony becomes an issue in forums etc
but if an iPhone drops and breaks no one talks about it
funny but true
sATHAR, 03 Feb 2015no sound recorder/voice recorder found???The Sony Audio Recorder app can be downloaded free from Google Play.

=> Never heard of it, but the charge is pretty fast anyway (from 15% to 100% in something like 4 / 5 hours).
I don't have Facebook apps. Mostly because of the privacy. Maybe that helps a lot to save battery (I use Facebook on my phone through the mobile website, but I work in front of a computer all day so it's kinda useless). I noticed Snapchat used a lot of battery too, but I have it anyway. My phone is always in "stamina mode" (disable data when the screen is off), that's probably the most usefull feature of the Sony overlay (while waiting for Android 5.0 that's suposed to have an equivalent).
I also disabled a lot of useless apps throught the settings and removed everything I don't use. I guess it helps a lot too...
There are a few apps that's suposed to help you save battery. you should be able to find some article about that pretty easily.
About the overheating, I never had any, even with a strong usage. I haven't tried to take 4k video but I read somewhere that it could get hot that way. I should try some day.
Can you tell me something about your battery life, cause mine is like garbage? only fb messenger, whatsapp and web browsing drains 1% from battery in about 3 to 6 minutes. can that be from the wrong first charging? I think mine wasn't new and whom use first didn't consider the 30 minutes minimum charging before the first use. What do you think guys? And i read somewhere that this handset has a special feature that allows him to charge from 0% to 60% battery in just 30 minutes, but mine doesn't. What about that?
Ganesh, 03 Feb 2015After a big review online I finally decided to buy Xperia Z3 Compact and after using for 3 day... moreI got one for only 7 days, with the same problem. The CPU is too powerfull and The case CAN't cool it Down, so it overheats very quickly. The only solution is To use it in an environment below 20ºC, or return To iphone, like I did.
If you are a person that hates big phones (Welcome to the club)
Then this is the perfect phone for you.(period)

I'm from malaysia and I've been using this phone for about a mth now. Dropped it from my car hood and not even a scratch. I was amazed by the display quality and pictures taken. To be honest, i've been rough with my phones especially bringing for fishing and sports. it stays in my pocket. can easily rinse off any access dirt and mud. Trust me, if you want a durable phone, get this model. You wont regret it.
Like I wrote in a previous review, I didn't had any issue with the screen. I made it fall twice (not on purpose...), with a silicon case bought on Amazon. The phone in the case is not really sexy but at least I'm not really afraid of droping it now. Just be careful.
I don't think the temperature difference is a serious thing to break the phone. I live in Canada (Montreal), going outside with the phone in my outside pocket and bicking even when -20°C. Never had any issue.
The battery is just ridiculous. With a low usage it last 5 days with the latest Sony update. I usualy get a
teleduardo11, 30 Jan 2015What I know is that both references are the same features, except 3G and 4G bands Z3C D5803 is... moreso you're telling me if I use the one from america in asia the 4g won't work?
After a big review online I finally decided to buy Xperia Z3 Compact and after using for 3 days I had return back as the phone was terribly over heating. I even did not insert a sim into it and was just making some Bluetooth transfer and reading news online but it was like having a hot tea cup in my palms. I did not expect so poor performance of Xperia Z3 Compact. Now I am waiting to buy a new phone. Has anyone faced similar problems.?
