rainman, 14 Jan 2016Can you fix screen in landscape mode manually with Lollipop?Make sure auto rotate is in your quick access settings within the notification pull down.
Rotate your tab to landscape. Pull down the quick access settings.
Turn off auto rotate, make sure it shows landscape.
If you have further issues, go into settings -> display -> screen rotation -> smart screen rotation, and then turn it off.
Lollipop works fine. If facing issues do a factory reset after upgrading. Sometimes it's a must.
When will it get 6.0 Marshmallow? Will be updated also to Android N?

There is nothing wrong with Lollipop 5.1.1, if anyone has a problem they should contact Sony rather than telling others not to download it.
I´ve been using this tablet for a year now and kinda satisfied with it. The only negatives: the software. I hate sony´s philosophy to put a ton of bloatware into the op. system. Weak camera. The wifi hotspot disconnects sometimes. I think that the lollipop, just like the operating system is a worthless, disgusting something, so the tab is still on 4.4.4 together with my nexus 5. Despite the numbers, I found faster and smoother my nexus 7/2 tab. It surprised me first, but there are still enough power for everyday use in this sony unit. And still water resistant. I sold my original xperia z, because of the problems, but this one looks very durable. Nice, clean design. I´d say, I give 8/10 for this tablet overall.
As I've mentioned before my tablet is already on lollipop 5.1.1 and I've never had a problem. You need to download the update using either your PC or laptop, do not download it over the air as this always causes problems.
Mine was already on Lollipop 5.1.1 when I purchased mine last month, no problems whatsoever, works smoothly and very quick. Not sure why other people are having problems after updating to lollipop.

I plan to buy a new tablet. Is this tablet OK? Please anyone could tell me about good and bad things about this tablet. Can I play 3D game in this tablet? What is the best tablet out of Samsung galaxy tab 4 . 4G LTE and Sony xperia z3 compact tab?
Can anyone please tell me if the 3 phone sims are still being banned from being used in tablets ? because I know they were back in 2012, but not sure if this is still the case.
I have both the 6.4" Z Ultra and this Z3 Tablet Compact and I have to say that the Z Ultra looks and feels more premium because they've kept all the premium materials whereas with the Z3 Tablet Compact they have removed the gorgeous glass from the back and it just doesn't feel or look the same. It's a shame really as it's still a great tablet, probably the best tablet on the market. Still has the brilliant front glass display and power button and overall it performs just as good as the Z Ultra due to the upgraded chip which is the 801 compared to the 800 in the Ultra. It's the perfect size for watching movies or using it in the car as a sat nav. Also the mdel I have is the SGP621 which can be used as a phone and is 4G ready so I might get a nano sim at some stage and see what it's like being used as a phone.
