I have both the 6.4" Z Ultra and this Z3 Tablet Compact and I have to say that the Z Ultra looks and feels more premium because they've kept all the premium materials whereas with the Z3 Tablet Compact they have removed the gorgeous glass from the back and it just doesn't feel or look the same. It's a shame really as it's still a great tablet, probably the best tablet on the market. Still has the brilliant front glass display and power button and overall it performs just as good as the Z Ultra due to the upgraded chip which is the 801 compared to the 800 in the Ultra. It's the perfect size for watching movies or using it in the car as a sat nav. Also the mdel I have is the SGP621 which can be used as a phone and is 4G ready so I might get a nano sim at some stage and see what it's like being used as a phone.
The battery extremely strong, stereo speakers is very loud, so you also can hear the phone by switch on the output speaker, very enjoy!
mag c, 17 Dec 2015Im gonna buy a tablet. This is the tablet i found with most positive reviews but one thing is ... moreIt is still worth to buy. I have ipad mini 4, samsung galaxy tab s2 8" and xperia Z3 tablet compact. I can say that the display colour of xperia z3 tablet compact is the most natural and realistic of the three. The colour is very refreshing. You need to disable auto brightness and adjust the brightness by yourself. Samsung Galaxy tab s2 amoled display is too artificial and unnatural and the white is very very yellow. Ipad mini 4 is also a bit yellow in white colour. It also can't give me the refreshing feeling like Sony. The most detailed display is ipad mini 4 because of its highest ppi. However z3 tablet compact is also very very good, actually it is not so a great difference. In terms of speed, z3 tablet compact can still match the other two newer models. Web browsing is very very smooth and fast and actually is the same as the other two. I don't play games with tablet so I don't know about which has the best gamibg performance. However, if you just use the tablet for web browsing and some multi media consumption, you must be satisfied with sony if you can stick to Kikat 4.4.4. with this tablet.
mag c, 17 Dec 2015Im gonna buy a tablet. This is the tablet i found with most positive reviews but one thing is ... moreWell, actually it's just a little over one year old so its not that old. And its lighter than the iPad mini 3 by about 50 g and lighter than the iPad mini 4 by about 20 g. You'll probably get better deals on it too because its last year's model.
The most compact slimmest lightest best comoact tablet ever seen... No words to say its perfect. Smooth running and never lagging. Most durable and the finish is more premium. But cam is not perfect for this tablet. Sony must upgrade both camera's quality. Fine
It's still one of the best 7-8" Android tablets ever. Waaaay overpriced when it was released but a great deal now.
Im gonna buy a tablet. This is the tablet i found with most positive reviews but one thing is bothering me its a two year old device and is it still worth to buy?

AnonD-456496, 20 Oct 2015Hi,
I would like to know if this tablet contains an earpiece and if it's possible to use the ... morewell guess what?i does have a proximity sensor and this is how to fix this problem.first You have to sacrifice resetting the phone using the Sony PC software 1st. Avoid data backup from old accounts.
Then, after the reboot is done and Android is reinstalled with update x.x.x.534 goto the dialer & type *#*#7378423#*#* then press dial
In the menu that will come go to calibration and then choose proximity sensor. (If you run the test it might give error = -1) Then, set settings to default and it may ask to reboot the device.
After reboot type *#*#7378423#*#* then press dial. In the menu that will come go to calibration and then choose proximity sensor do the test and it will show success.
Check the phone...it works.just for those who are too scared to try typing *#*#7378423#*#* on their dialer it actually takes you to the service menu meant for developers/service center agents. It's safe to use for this option and can be searched upon on net before use to be satisfied completely
Dom, 30 Nov 2015Can you help me how to insert nano sim on xperia z3 tablet? Thank youOpen the sim card and micro SD card cover on the left side of the tablet. you will see a little black thing inside the slot. That i syout nano sim card tray.Use your finger nail to pull out that tray, pu tyour nano sim card in and push the tray back into that slot. However it is a bit difficult to pull out the tray, so you have to try it.
I'm disapointed that they didn't orginally make this 32GB, I've had the Nexus 7 HD (2nd Edition 32GB) and it's held up pretty well without becoming obsolete. 16GB will be obsolete too soon, when I'm thinking of a tablet for PlayStation Remote Play and an LTE tablet. The The others seem too big for me to answer VoIP calls... Maybe make due with the Xperia Z4 Tablet + Sony BKB50 Bluetooth keyboard.
