Why no dual SIM version? Disappointing and a missed opportunity by Sony to increase their market share.
And look at the battery standby time.
Compare with z3c, this is a huge set back.
Plus the 810 this device will be a disappointed.
Seriously sony? Where is the great news and why are people excited about this weak upgrade? They are gonna lose money and marked on this weak upgrade, basically the same as Z3C.
So according to a German hands-on of Z5C, the frame is plastic. That's... surprising, considering the price range. One of the reasons I liked the Z1C was the metal frame, gave the device a premium feeling.
My Z3 Compact still good enough to be my friends (no lag etc like other phone with superior specs and sometime the price is cheap so some people buy it but in the end they just sucks), but with this z5 performance make me confuse to choose.
Should be name: Z5CompactPremium -lightning fast with HD and endurable beast(IPXX+battery time). Its wild west phone.
The z5c is an improvement in almost every department. No compromises no downgrade.Bigger battery, bigger internal, better material quality, better camera. it's the only choice for power user who don't like phablets. Z3c users know what I'm talking about.full HD display is not necessary. Design junkies please get lost.put ur thin great phones in a ugly case and admire it. Don't forget to hv ur charger always with you. USB c is the only thing what can be complained about. For me best phone of 2015. Good job Sony
Boy, 03 Sep 2015small is beautiful, but why it's not dual simI did not buy Z3 compact because it lacked dual sim support. I have been waiting for dual sim support in a compact body and Sony messed me up again. Why?. Is it that they find it difficult to add extra sim. What should I do now? Sony should consider a dual sim version as soon as possible.
waeb, 02 Sep 2015Good that the back is changed, but is very disapointed about only 2 GB ram and only 2700mAh. T... moreI have lenovo p770. decent specs with massive battery but no software updates. even i am planning for new phone. this has compact form factor and battery but software updates?
google nexus is coming with 2700mah but 5.2" FHD...really confused... and yes the price!!!
I waited long for this one! I think its the best phone available in the market in terms of size, specs, design, camera and more...
I will definitely buy a Z5C soon! I own a Z3C now with awesome battery life, decent camera and good performance, and its perfect in my hand, and Z5C is a decent upgrade over that.
Now to clarify the "CHUNKINESS" issue with the Z5C, I have a great Galaxy S5 which is very thin in my hand / book, it is 8.1mm thick, I handled the Z3c which is 8.6mm and felt very thin & comfortable for me, and REALLY compact like my very old S3, now this is .3 of mm thicker,,, like a hair breadth thicker, can anybody feel this in hand? No way. Now it looks thicker than the Z3c because of a very wise design choice SONY made to extend the metal frame to cover the glass edges for much better protection, KUDOS. Now what really matters in the comparison with the older model in my book? First, The doubled internal memory capacity since new android will not install anything on SD cards. Second, the fingerprint security. Third, the mentioned extra protection for the glass edges. So, in my book, a job very well done SONY. Now the only question is,,,,, WHEN CAN I GET IT???? Can't wait..
G4, 02 Sep 2015But Snapdragon 810 :(The newest snapdragon 810 doesn't over heats even in the recording of 4k video over 15 mins go check Youtube for the reviews bro.. And you that the same 810 chip is alos present in one plus two
So, don't ruin every sony z5 phones post by saying this .. Just stop spamming every z5 post
Karim K, 03 Sep 2015why only 2gb ram probably bcoz its enough for hd screen
No stereo speakers. Heating problem in Snapdragon 810, it's looks ugly, my z3c is the best in class mobile in every aspect!!amazing battery life! Also I think snapdragon 810 is not battery friendly processor. I think z5c battery proformance will less than expected. Wait for gsmarena review. If it's good, I will consider to buy.
Seems like a minor incremental upgrade over the Z3C, not enough for me to bite the bullet, of course (I'm not an iSheep), but if I didn't already have Z3C, I'd probably go for this. Would have liked an even bigger battery (thickness not an issue) and smaller bezels for yet even easier handling. Kinda sucks that the phone got a bit wider, although I realize it's minimal, but there's still room for improvement in that area.
