SKdeshani, 09 Sep 2015I love compact but unfortunately it doesn't dual sim...Mostly sony customers want dual SIM. Yes I also want daul sim
Yep, even I do want a dual SIM Z5 compact. I love that perfect pocketable size of Sony Compact series. I am a fan of Sony. I have a Sony Bravia TV. The picture and sound quality is very nice. I have tested other TVs, but nothing can match Sony on the sound quality. Well done Sony. Also USB 3.0 interface would be nice on the phone. I also love that front facing speakers. A boom like htc would be better.
AnonD-250867, 02 Sep 2015But Snapdragon 810 :(Correct me if I am wrong. The phone will use Snapdragon 810 v2.1 which is heat-free. Heating no longer be a problem from now.
weight less than iphone, battery is about +1000mAh. Clearly putting iphone to shame...
anyone know if they addressed the easily cracked (some said self-cracking) front and rear glass? is the new back glass tougher and more durable???
Someone can tell me which phones between Z5 compact and M5 is the most high-end?
Because M5 has a 1080p, 5" screen, 3gb ram and Z5 has a 720p, 4.6" screen, 2gb ram.
But it looks like the Z5 compact is more expensive than the M5, how's that?

I am willing to pay for a phone as Z5 Compact simply because i appreciate it's speed&power in a compact elegant body compared to those hard to control (with one hand) and store in pocket oversized pseudo phones such as S6 Edge. But that's why we have so many phones on the market - we have individual requirements.

I like everything about z5c, screen resolution, thickness, new power button, battery.. But still wonder about camera and loudspeakers. 'cause on my z3c they aren't the same as on the big z3..
Great Z5 family of best electronics company world wide, but I wonder why there is no version of Z5 Compact with dual SIM?, I hope Sony will make this version.
Anonymous, 06 Sep 2015800$? Sony cut the prices and it now costs only 651$.Even for 650 $ people don't want to spend so much money on a small thick phone they cannot show off and be proud, even if it is the best phone in the world. You can get a 32 Gb S6 Edge for that price now !
Expensive phones must have good looks and Z5c has not. Same size with slimmer bezel allowing a 4.8 screen would have been a killer.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Compact is not at all as bad as all of you say it is. In fact the only problem I can see is at the RAM memory. Thinking that this phone has a sd 810 inside and a 23 mp camera with 0.03 seconds autofocus is kind of worth the money.
Fore those that say 720p display on a 4.6 inch phone isn't enough (I disagree) and also 2GB of ram not enough (agree), there will be a Z3 Compact Premium with 1080p and 4 GB of RAM. If it is truth I think that that is the best phone at this time ( till xiaomi mi5) .
I know what you're all thinking. 720p on a smartphone in 2015!? It's easily justified! Look at the size of the screen, only 4.6 inches! I'm sure 720p on a smaller display like this will look just as good as the Galaxy S4 and S5. Don't worry. This is such a great device and I would love to upgrade to this.

Because you can save on power consumption. Which means more battery efficient than 1080p on screen that size. All Sony need to do is to play well on their screen technology like optimizing X-Reality, Triluminos, something like that.

I am extremely dissapointed from the last two generations of mobiles.
I had G2, which I considered the best mobile I ever had, barable size, excellent bazels, so that you enjoy big screen estate for what you carry and fantastic battery, tgat letvyou use your phone without worries that it wont make it to home.
Then I got myself the G3, to continue the bazel trend. I was dissapointed, the size was a bit over the top to me and the battery was horrible, I am afrad to use my phone for everything else but calls, because I know it wont make the long day to home. Ever since I loom for smth smaller, with a better battery performance ideally it would be dust and water resistant as well, to avoid digitizer issues from dust and warranty void due to atmospheric humidity.
I believe that the mobile phone, in order to remain monile should not be over 15cm long and 150grams heavy. However, as I am a power user, I cannot make compromises at the performance of my device. So this phone seems to be my soulmate to be.
Compact size, without any compromises! I use my GPS with guided voice,so I need gps on at all times, a 3d Atlas anatomy occasionally, some random browsing for on the spot info, viber, fb mess and whatsup running in the background, in 4G inviroment and play one race/day of real racing3 for the bonus. Is that too much? Well for the 2.5k G3 it is...
I know that I should have bought the Z3c and I regret not buying it, but since its still 400euros here and the next one is around the corner, I thought that I should have waited.
The wait gave me 32gb of internal storage, which us great as a couple of ganes like RR3 wich a 3.5GB each are enough to give low memory messages, newer chip, prolonged OS development, far better camera, flapless charging, but the greatest question is will it have a similar battery?? I for one, I am glad that it is 720p, for this size the difference from 1080p to 720p, would be less than from G3 to G2 and I have decided that it is not worthy of the compromises. High resolution is just a gimmick and this coming from an owner of the first Qhd holders. 300ppi is more tgan enough to please anyones eyes, even on graphically intense apps. The trend nowdays is to increase tgecresolution and make it thinner by sacrificing battery capacity, as i developed an allergy on these and on huge size devices, I expect that Z5c will be the answer and I am glad that its 2mm thicker, so it can carry a bigger battery, kept the 720p who is still is +300ppi and adds uber perfomance and lower battery use, but what really bothers me are the preliminary gsmarena baterry tests, the Z5c comparing to Z3c, heck even G3, fails miserably at tslking and standby times, its even worse thats is bigger sibling Z5, how is it possible, could be some drain issue due to the beta stage OS? This will surely affect the overall battery performance and my final decision on this product. My number 1 choice would be, S6 active, but Samsung decided to keep it Us exclusive so the ball is now on Sony's court...
I cant belive in its fourth generation it still using a 720p screen (ZR, Z1C, Z3C and Z5C), the gap between the 323 ppi, and the 806 ppi from the premium its insane, it should have at least a 1080p screen for a 2015 flagship. Shame on you sony.
