Also, there are quite a few of us who want flagship specs in a Compact android phone. Sony introduced this concept with Z1 Compact. If you look at phones like S5 Mini and HTC one mini 2 and LG G3 beat, they are a huge step down from their respective big sized flagships, whereas Z1 Compact wasn't. It was actually better than Z1.
Your all complain is very easy to answer if you don't like the features and design of the z5 cuz u think nothing is special u can just look for another brand that catch ur interest and if you dont like the z5 but you luv sony then wait for the z5+ or z6... But if z5+ and z6 doesn't catch ur interest again well i must say you have to switch to another brand and if u really luv sony and again u don't like the the newer phone well u have to bring some buddy of urs and go to the main office of sony bro maybe that can help... :-D
TeD, 06 Sep 2015Problem is that people are not willing to spend so much money 800 $ on a very small phone that... moreNothing special for real bro? People dont buy compact size if they don't like compact size and if people don't like big phone even it is cheaper they will not buy it bro trust me...like me i like the features of the bigger bro of z5c but i don't like big phone that covers your whole face when someone is calling or calling... I like the new z5c cuz the price is right bro for the features and ist sony ur paying for the name bro...:-D
Only the Sony z5c catches my eye the design and material and the features... im currently using sony zr i do luv phone with a removable batt thats why i never upgrade phone since the new z line phone arrive but when z5c arrive the design and the features it make me say dang is this for real? My only concern is the sd810 soc hope it doesn't heat like hell cuz if not well another bby in my pocket i must say...:-D
Problem is that people are not willing to spend so much money 800 $ on a very small phone that looks nothing special. They can buy a good looking 5.5" phone they can show off for a lot less ...It just does look expensive for what you get...

So just say that only you feel that Z5 Compact is a incremental update. You don't require all the important things.
Hoping Wifi issue is solved on Z5C unlike what I experienced (xperienced)on my current phone which is Z3C.....my Z3C didn't even upgrade to Android 5.0 over Wifi ..I had to use bundles which was quit expensive considering I pay for Wifi services .

Now I ask you, what will you do with 4Gb of RAM on this little phone? Play games? well... The truth is, the graphics on mobile games aren't that great compared to Console (PS, XBOX) or PC games. So, 2Gb of RAM is enough for mobile gaming in this size. Or, you want a multi task? Well... To make your phone faster, you can close the apps which aren't necessary from the recent app screen. (Sorry, don't know what html or other codes are allowed to do prettier quoting etc)
Actually, under Android more than any other OS I've ever used, memory matters.
Nothing to do with graphics.
It's the way Android uses memory and what it decides to trash from memory. If you have multiple tabs open in a browser to various sites and say switch to another app (send an SMS, or answer a call, or switch to another browser with other open sessions in it) and Android may think you've 'closed' the browser and trash its memory and open sessions. What this means is that when you go back to the browser, the OS will reload the entire thing, re-download all the open pages again. Using up quota download and, at the same time, trashing login-session that are open and forcing you to re-login to sites that you may have open. What this also means is that if you had a notification type-webapp, say a social app or something, it's basically logged you out and now you are not getting notifications from the webapp in the browser because the OS has decided to trash it.
it's frustrating as hell to have a couple-dozen tabs open in a browser, 1 or 2 on sites that you login to (e.g. facebook) that notify you of messages or other events. but because you've answered a phone call the OS has decided to trash all the data memory of a backgrounded app. Then when you go back you have to re-download the pages, so switching tabs slows to a crawl as it re-downloads the pages that you were viewing 3 minutes ago. Virtual Memory management in Android sucks. I'm not even sure if Android DOES virtual memory management.
And closing apps from the recent app screen DOESN'T unload the app from memory. If the application itself provides no "quit" functionality, closing the app from the recent apps screen takes it out of the scheduler tree so it doesn't need to be loaded onto a CPU, but the memory is still there until Android decides to go clean it up.
As to your reference to games and what-not, it wasn't that long ago that a dual-core 2GHz (let alone a quad-or-more core) system with 720p graphics would have been considered a decent gaming rig...
S810 seems not good for battery endurance. Imo sony should choose s808 for z5c

OK, I stand corrected, the camera is significantly better. But as I said, a better camera is not a buying point for me, the Galaxy S3's camera is adequate for my needs. I LIKE having a better camera, the Z3Cs blows away my previous S3's, but it is not an important upgrade factor. I have digital SLR cameras for when I want to take quality photos.
Fingerprint reader? For _ME_ irrelevant. I prefer the security of an 8 digit passcode.
"stronger aluminium frame, while the Z3C only had a plastic frame, glossy glass is replaced by frosted glass which gives better grip in Z5C." Excellent, but again not a compelling upgrade. Definitely a factor in choosing between phones when upgrading, but not a reason TO upgrade.
"better performance, battery, " I haven't seen any benchmarks of this phone yet. Like with a camera and megapixels, a newer SoC doesn't necessarily mean better performance. I HAVE seen many benchmarks of the 810 SoC in other phones, and the performance is not very impressive. The 810 SoC has thermal management problems. It has to turn off it's faster cores very quickly and leave just the low-power slower cores, which are slower than the 801 cores, running. As for the battery, this site is showing a roughly 33% REDUCTION in battery life. Again, a bigger battery with more mAh doesn't mean better battery if the power draw is greater and the total battery lifetime between charges is reduced.
gaaron, 04 Sep 2015what is the back cover of z5c isit plastic or some kind of metal kind?...It's Glass but with frosted effect to deal with old the fingerprint magnet problem.
Every companies reduced the bezels of their phones, but with Sony the bezels seem to getting bigger...bad choice.
what is the back cover of z5c isit plastic or some kind of metal kind?...

I'm very Satisfied with my Sony xperia Z3 with Sony ILCE-QX1 Sony Lens SEL55210 APS-C
why i need better camera>>??? when have QX1 :D
There are certainly some Pro's compared to the Z3 compact
Better processor, 32GB internal, better camera front and back, fingerprint scanner
But also some cons, looks cheaper in my opinion, battery life stats have taken a big hit and screen-to-body ratio less.
I'll no doubt still get one :-)
I will switch from ZR to Z5c
This is That what I actually expected for a looong time ⌚
Than You SONY
Its good to hear about all the specs about the new sony kid. But I think for a 32gb ROM 2gb RAM is not at all enough. For the smooth and efficient running of the phone they would have at least provide 3 or 4gb RAM. And it will be worthy for the money we are paying for the mobile.
