I Bought Sony Xperia Z5 Premium Dual Chrome this Day, OMG this Phone is Beast in every aspect im totally blown how fast it is comparing to my sister iPhone 6 S +, absolutely awesome, when i unbox it ear buds are inside and guest what? Quick Charger UCH10 is also packed into it..
BTW im here in saudi arabia bought it in Sony World Al-Khobar...

After changing my tempered glass the issue is gone. .
So that's not the phone or software issue and just the tempered glass not affixed properly resulting in proximity sensor working error...

reason,
according to official specs, z5p have 4k resolution and z5 have FHD. (but with 5 inch size of screen, human eye can't tell the difference, so, can ignore this)
z5p have 3430mAh battery cap while z5 have 2900mAh battery cap, and review from others, z5p battery drain faster than z5.
is that true that z5p eats up battery faster than z5? and how long can z5p's battery really last without stamina mode? this is the only thing that troubles me right now. thanks guys.

Yeah very strange issue..using Sony mobiles for past 4 years across various models.. Sola to Z to Z1 Compact to Z5 Premium..now only facing my first issue in my phone over these years...
I doubt my tempered glass over screen is not fixed properly and screen gets wet due to this reason..
As first step planning to change my tempered glass..after that if still the issue persists will follow ur recommendations..

Try going into the settings and adjust time when display will go to sleep so that maybe will prevent screen from turning off and locking your phone:
Settings/ Display / Sleep / chose time 1min,2min,5min etc.
Also try turning off ''automatic lock'' by choosing only ''swipe'' or ''none'' for screen lock in security setting.
if above doesn't help backup your important data and files and do factory reset of your phone.
Settings / Backup & / Factory data reset (this will erase everything from the phone and log out from your accounts like FB,gmail,viber etc.)
If non of this helps than is probably some software issue that you can try solving via Sony pc companion that can be found here on Sony official page http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/

My issue is like this
* while calling anyone screen goes black so couldn't move to speaker mode or conference.
* Even after repeated tries the screen couldn't be unlocked to show the display
* After call is over too still the screen remains black so couldn't disconnect the call from my side. Call ends only if the other end person disconnects.
Need solution for this

I have an issue.. When making calls the screen goes black irrespective of the proximity.. Couldn't disconnect or put the calling speaker mode as the display is full black..after repeated presses on the screen unlock button the display comes again..does anyone has similar issue...can someone help me to come out of this issue...
