Suhanoo, 14 Sep 2013Hi all, I've been following Xperia blogs (sp, z, zr & zl) for a while now. I've been using... morehi Suhanoo..I've been using sony zl for 3 month now...yes, the battery performnce drop after the 4.2 update...what I did is reset to factory setting, and now it's work well...but if you play high graphic game, i'm pretty sure tht all flagship phone will have the same issue...battery drain so fast and won't last whole day.
OMG, i have been using the zl for 4 month, so far so good, just today, something unimagine happen, the glass covering the side of the glass, one of them just torn off. i think its manufacture error.. a bit disappointed with it

So, about the issues thing and alternatives ?
Hi all, I've been following Xperia blogs (sp, z, zr & zl) for a while now. I've been using SGS2 for the last two years and am quite satisfied with it. But as Samsung is not Nokia, the phone is wearing out and is in need to be replaced. At first I chose sp, but unfortunately it's internal memory is not that good and it doesn't support apps transfer to the sd card. So I moved on and finally am somewhat sure of buying this phone (zl). But I was surprised to find that after the update the phone tends to lose it's battery power. I'm gonna buy the phone in October and before that I wanna research and find out the best solution for me. Is it true that the battery is very poor after the update? How poor is that? Will it withstand heavy gaming and last for a whole day? What about if I use it with moderate gaming, will it last a day? I don't mind about the viewing angle and it is a pro to me rather than con as I like my privacy on my phone. My second question is that does it support guest mode? I have a son and don't want him to fiddle with my phone without my permission. So, pls, users of zl, take a bit of your precious time and ans my question, I'll be very thankful. Btw, don't suggest me Samsung s3 or s4, I can't stand the looks (they look cheap). Other than that, all suggestions are welcome. Also, I want a decent can (8mp), doesn't better if it's taking good pictures or not (I have N8 to do that), but I need fullHD video. Sd card is a must and at least 8GB available memory (in case I can't transfer apps to sd card). Thanks in advance. TC.
I've read many reviews about this phone and now I'm looking forward to buying it. The time it was released, it had many issues, as stated in the many comments I have gone through. But, what now ? Facing any issues currently ?
Also, what are the alternatives I can consider ?
P.S. It's available for INR 27600/-.

after Updating to 4.2 on ZL everything works fine for me, i've notice fast 3G network,no lags on animation smooth home launcher, no flickering of screen. BUT! i'm very dissappointed on BATTERY performance... it drains FAST. Hope sony fix this battery issue.
I bought Sony xperia zl 2 days back.
But m very dissappointed with the battery backup.
It drains very quickly.
What to do??
Sir, please we are a long time Sony and Xperia Product Customers, and we cherish the products. But! after the very recent Xperia ZL update to 4.2.2 (#.244), the ZL's battery and charging system has been very unsteady and unsturdy-- while charging the notification light flicks with the battery levels oscillating from 99%(Full), 98%(full), 96%(full), 94%(full) etc. Besides, the battery drains rather profusely. We're just imploring through your notable offices to urge the Sony Xperia ZL Team to fix this challenging bug(problems) in the next updates via 4.3. Thanks you sir!
ryeah, 11 Sep 2013i bought my ZL last month,,, but 3days ago my zl SUDDEN DEATH and now my zl is on the service ... moreMay be your handset was faulty, there isn't anything like 'sudden death' with Xperia ZL.
