Having used the LG Optimus 4HD and sold it, I can assure that the battery is weaker than that of the Xperia T. For me it is every day use and not statistics that count. How many phones are equipped with more than 2100mAh batteries apart from Razr Maxx and Razr HD? The HTC Droid DNA has 2020mAh BTW. As I say, it is optimisation that counts. The HTC One X barely lasted a day on release but after software uipdate lasted a day and a half.

Nice looking phone. But I notice that video-support is sligtly limited (MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV) compared to Galaxy S3 (MP4/DivX/XviD/WMV/H.264/H.263) - so I still gonna keep Samsungs older alternative.
Frankly, I dont understand why competitors playing catch-up constantly manage shot themselves in the foot, by being so tight-fisted with video-support. For crying out load - dont take any chances.

My Xperia T outlasts the LG Optimus 4HD and the HTC One X ... moreThe battery endurance of the Optimus 4X HD is 40 hours, and the endurance of the Xperia T is only 36 hours according to GSMArena. Anyway Sony is weak in comparison with Samsung and Motorola. They need to work harder if they want to compete with Samsung or HTC.
Xperia zl is looking so good.in dis phone having 3g video calling r not.......?any one know about dis
are you sure Sony using quadcore? why you last day said "using quad core is redundant"? hahahaa...
Bilal Khan, 05 Jan 2013Agree, But nothing from Samsung yet, what are they hiding?are you serious sony that you using quad core? why u last day said "using quad core is redundant"? hahaha..
This is an awesome phone, but I think it's too large for my pocket. Even mu eyes cannot tell apaprt a 720p display and 1080p one. Needless to acquire such a giant like that. Xperia V is still my best choice.
Email from Sony.....We are about to release something EXTRAORDINARY in three days time! Don't much care for anybody's opinion and I mean anybody's....I am definitely getting this phone, just hoping the international version is the ZL as loving the minimal bezel.....
Mobilemaster, 05 Jan 2013If Sony can, then why the heck didn't make it? All of Sony phones have a weak battery! I tell ... moreAs I say, it is about optimisation. My Xperia T outlasts the LG Optimus 4HD and the HTC One X and I usually get a day and half out of it with moderate use, 1 full day otherwise. Not many phones last longer than that. If you understand about phones, it is simply not about battery size!
congrats to Sony, Very competitive product, but the big players like Samsung & HTC are about to release their weapon of choice for 2013 , The most important thing is now Timing, if Sony is faster then the others they might have a chance !?
Great specs but I really don't like those on-screen Back/Home/Menu(or whatev) buttons! I mean, not only on this phone, but on every other newer Android out there! And also, front camera should be above the screen! :P But otherwise, great phone!
