HTC Android Rumors

The HTC Bolt has been making the rounds recently and the new flagship is expected to be unveiled on November 11 (that’s this Friday). Photos of a presentation by Sprint give us the details of what seems to be an un-Googled version of the Pixel XL. (the Bolt, by the way, will be available globally as the HTC 10 evo.

HTC changed the camera - it is higher resolution (16MP) and has OIS. The slides promise good low-light performance by the new camera, something the Pixel’s camera excels at. The new camera will record 4K video with 24-bit high-res audio.

The Bolt is waterproof - the IP57 allows it to stay for half an hour under 1m of water. However, the slides explicitly mention users shouldn’t intentionally submerge the phone though.

Interestingly, HTC ditched the Google Assistant in favor of Amazon’s Alexa. Speaking of ditching, the company will drop the 3.5mm headphone jack, but the HTC Bolt should come with “the world’s first adaptive earphones.” They will have large drivers (13mm, 70% larger than most) and promise excellent bass response (even 10Hz to 40Hz). The headphones will enjoy 24-bit audio processing and automatic calibration to your ears.

The HTC Bolt will pack a 3,200mAh battery - not that big for a 5.5” phone - but the fast charging tech promises a day’s worth of battery life in just 30 minutes.

There’s no word on pricing yet or when the Bolt’s international version, the HTC 10 evo, will be unveiled.

I haven't used HTC 10 yet, but sound quality is amazing on HTC. Camera was crappy on M7 and battery life was pathetic. I listen only FLAC, and M7 was eating up the battery like anything. And also, HTC hasn't provided to its fans with anything ground ...

I see. The battery on my HTC 10 lasts 1 day and a half and I am a heavy user. Also, build and sound quality is amazing!

I agree with you my friend - the Sense UI is the best in the market. I don't like TouchWiz at all. But the camera and battery life was pretty bad in HTC M7. And more over I was carried away by the display of Galaxy S6. And I am pretty satisfied with ...
