trish, 23 Jun 2012I can't figure out where the sd card goes..can someone plz help?First, Slide open your T-Mobile G1 so that the keypad is exposed.then Locate the microSD card's storage slot. This slot is located on the side of the G1 near the green "Call" key. When the phone is open, you can see that the microSD card slot cover wraps around to the inside of the phone near the keypad.

to the G1 owners
i recommend to install CyangoenMod Rom, that's so fast & Stable (V6.1.0-DS - Android 2.2.1 Froyo) & have no Bugs (at least less than other Roms)
how to install it ?
if that's your first time to flash new Rom to your G1, then your phone is not rooted.
to do this (root)
you can go there (http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Full_Update_Guide_-_HTC_Dream)
after that, if your phone need to flash DangerSPL
you can go there (http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Dream:DangerSPL)
after Root & install SPL (if needed)
you must download the Rom & Gapps to flash it to your phone
go there to download CyanogenMod Rom & Gapps (http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Gapps#Google_Apps)
Now enjoy it, your G1 is so fast & stable & you can do every thing ...

i was installing a new Android on my HTC G1, i thought i brick,
it didn't start up just G1 Logo , i tried Home + Power nothing just G1 Logo , and Camera + Power also G1 Logo , and didn't turn off , i have to take out the battery.
so plz any help

I have the G1 with a ported Froyo 2.2.1 named "BiffMod v2.1" my Handy named now "Plain Biff Dream" it have the BuildNumer: FRG83.
Where i get it? @the Developers U will get!
Now i have pimped the CPU down/up from 122Mhz to 614Mhz.
Yes 614Mhz !!! With no problems but the Battery go low fast. But it lives longer with !! 122Mhz !! ;-)
There are many features in the ROM !
Long lifes the G1 the one and only first Android and the best in the past!

jon214m , 04 Jun 2012root it. you can run CM6(cyanogen mod) which is 2.2.1 froyo and gingerbread if you want. yeah Dude it's working, CM6 running on my old G1
