For the google map do you need internet access or is it built in so u can see the streets and maps ????
fun fact: you can transfer your music straight from itunes. the phone converts it for you. Just drag and drop.

crrish, 14 Oct 2008hai i wanna know that the navigation is alredy built in or not?yes gps is built in and the google maps features works very well
And so ive been told the teathering does not work. i fixed my email problem, just had to mess around with the settings a little bit. Another thing that everyone will prolly be pissed off about the fact that it does not have stereo bluetooth :(
Does the G1 have tethered modem capabilities like the blackberry 8800.
There is one question most people are not asking, I've seen it on my coworkers G1 but not on mine, MR. C how is your battery life doing? Are you taking the proper steps in charging?
The regular 2 hour charge then only charging once the battery is almost depleted. Also not using the phone during charging?
why hasn't it got flash.secondly is it having optical mouse and auto focus like the samsung innovate. And what is the highest size of memory it can take.If it is below 16 gigabyte or 8 GB then it has failed in that area. Then finally is it loud when playing music on it.
C, 14 Oct 2008Im a huge blackberry user and my title is actually blackberry specialist. the emails do not co... moreWhat are you talking about?
The phone DOES notify you of new messages, including email. An '@' sign appear in the update bar to that effect.
Anonymous, 14 Oct 2008does the G1 have the threaded SMS feature?Yes it does.
It shows all the recipients of text messages in a window.
When you select the recipient name, it shows the conversation thread with sent times of each message.
Mike K., 12 Oct 2008well i dont have any specific questions, just generally how you like the phone over all, how e... moreextremely easy to use the interface and the touch work better than the iphone. resolution is amazing. i pulled a picture straight from the web at set it as wallpaper and it couldnt be any clearer. And as far as web browsing, especially when on the 3g network its exactly as using your desktop at home. The feature that i like the most is the street view for google maps, amazing clear and very fun to play with.
I have used the G1 and own one. The phone is fast, and beautiful. For all those wondering how to get your hands on one, you really do have to wait, only a handful of people can get it and it's not through an open source. The phone is worth the wait!
t-mobiler, 14 Oct 2008does anyone know what the email is like compared to the blackberry? thanks!Im a huge blackberry user and my title is actually blackberry specialist. the emails do not compare at all. It is not push email. the phone does not notify you that you have a new email and it very difficult to put your pop email on it. the phone is mainly for fun. it really depends on the user, i just have both the curve and the g1. I would tell anyone that if you want a phone for email blackberry is always your best bet.
Yes it has speaker phone and the usb is just like most other htc phones and the razr and blackberry both fit. the phones works great and is incredibly fast. the browsing is one of a kind and performs as if it were a desktop. Some of the applications of the phone are pretty sweet as well like the shopsavy bar code app. Its pretty cool being able to say im one of about 1000 or so who has one :)
