This phone has been given ICS and Jelly Bean via xda-developers....while I'm still on Froyo with my Sidekick 4G. Strange but true.

However, the ringtone... moreThis may be basic, but have you tried maxing out the volume button on the side? If you have, which way are you facing the phone? (The button is on the upper left side). Also, if only your notification sound is low, try going to settings and setting it to the same volume as incoming calls (under the Sound and Display tab), and then using the volume button.
If you have tried this, then please consider this: The (sometimes frustrating thing) about android phones is that the speaker is on the back, and therefore, if you rest the phone on some thing (especially sound absorbent surfaces, like beds or pillows) screen up, any sound becomes muffled. I have really good hearing, so it's never bothered me much, but just a heads up. (In other words, if you're having issues with this, flip the phone over while you're not using it). If you're still having volume issues, you can probably go to customer service, though they're not likely to be able to help with such an old model.

Jim, 23 Dec 2012I just bought this htc dream and I can't find where you put the SD card slot I look everywhere... morehey dude slide the phone nd below the call buttom theres a small openable slot .open it from inside where the sliding pivot is there.and insert sd card then u can use the sd card
