is it the same as the HTC hero? this hero is just under tmobile's name right?
If you are looking for a good forum for this device check out androidcommunity.com great support site.
This is the Hero, T-Mobile have just chosen to rename it (and brand it) whereas Orange have decided to keep the original name.
they should have kept the physical qwerty keyboard... it's such a boost for the phone, otherwise it's exacly like the Hero, if it already isn't the hero o.o
i heard this phone is suppose to be coming out for sprint on October 11th.
i have this phone and it is very very good except for the lag, omg its awful. texting is a nightmare, i have an iphone so am used to a qwerty keyboard but when typing the amount of times it doesnt put a space in because it cant register the tap is terrible. camera is very poor in low light
how much time it required to be launched in india plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz reply me soon

This phone is FANTASTIC .... any1 due a upgrade or lookin 4 a new handset TRUST ME the G2 is the best phone out there by a country mile ..... had mine 4 2days now and im blown away by it ..... u wont b disappointed G2 TOUCH is awesome !! GET 1 people
From What I've heard this phone lacks the Sense user interface (since HTC does not allow other parties to use this interface). This is the only difference with the HTC Hero.
Is this coming out in the US???!?! hopefully it does
anyway its basically the htc HERO with a t-mo sticker on it...better than the my touch 3g by miles however
I would assume that this phone is not being released in the US, only because TMobile uses different 3G frequencies. I wish they'd release this one here. I like the MyTouch, but this one's a little slimmer...
the only good thing I see is the 3.5mm jack and 5mp camera update (still no LED flash)
it still uses the same processor that G1 have still weights about the same as the G1 even without the full qwerty keyboard (to me it's a plus)
I'd wait until maybe G3 comes out ... with a faster processor and maybe a true north (digital compass) in the google map mode not just in street view
