TCL 40R quietly announced with Dimensity 700 SoC and 5,000 mAh battery

TCL has a new budget device in Europe with the TCL 40R – a Dimensity 700 equipped 5G midranger with a 50MP main cam and a 5,000 mAh battery. There’s a 6.6-inch IPS LCD upfront with HD+ resolution and waterdrop notch for the 8MP selfie cam. The back houses a 50MP main cam, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth lens.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 chipset is joined by 4GB RAM and 64/128GB storage which is expandable via the microSD slot. The software side is covered by TCL UI 4.0 on top of Android 12. The phone brings a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W charging support and also boasts a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

TCL 40 5G comes in Stardust Purple and Starlight Black. Pricing is set at €240 in Europe.
