Tecno Android Hands-on Featured MWC 2025

Android makers have entered a frenzy ahead of the Apple's iPhone 17 Slim launch. We expect the Galaxy S25 Edge in April and now Tecno has an even slimmer phone. Meet the Tecno Spark Slim, which measures just 5.75mm thin.

The Spark Slim is more than just a thin phone. It's impressively well made and features either a stainless steel colored (it's actually plastic) or a ceramic rear panel, and Gorilla Glass upfront. The phone features a unibody construction that truly feels great in the hand.

Impressively, there's a 5,200mAh battery inside, which is only 4.04mm thick. The battery recharges at up to 45W, too, which is not bad considering the challenge dissipating heat during charging must be for such a slim phone. There are two 50MP cameras, with a notification light-bar-style LED between them. It's really cool and very high-tech.

The stainless steel has a mirror-like surface, which looks premium for all of two seconds, before becoming a smudge-fest. The ceramic version, on the other hand, doesn't show as many fingerprints and looks amazing at all times.

The Spark Slim weighs just 146g. Tecno actually added some artificial weight to the phone, because it decided it would feel like a toy if it were any lighter.

We like the rounded aesthetic of the phone - it's refreshing in these times where every phone is going the squared-off edges way.

Ceramic

The roundedness extends to the display as well. Speaking of, the screen is a 6.78-inch AMOLED with a 1220p resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It's capable of 4,500 nits of peak brightness.

Tecno didn't say what chipset the Spark Slim is running except that it feature an octa-core CPU.

Sadly, the Techno Spark Slim is a concept phone and will not make it to market in this shape and size. However, the company is very much keen on bringing its charm in a different product to the market this year!
