The OnePlus 8T will have a 6.55” display – the same size as its non-T predecessor. However, it seems that the phone itself will be larger than before.
@OnLeaks posted the dimensions of the device – 162.8 x 75.5 x 8.4 mm, going up to 9.3 mm for the camera hump. Previously, the leakster shared renders of the 8T. We’ve prepared a simple schematic to show the relative sizes of the T-phone and the original 8-series (including the thickness - the 8T is almost as thick as the 8 Pro).
Note that this year there will be no T Pro model, instead the 8T is getting multiple upgrades like 120 Hz refresh rate. The extra size can be partially explained by the larger battery – at 4,500 mAh, it has the same capacity as the OnePlus 8 Pro battery.
What’s more, this will be the first phone from the company to hit 65 W charging speed. The new Warp Charger will be able to go from 0% to 58% in 15 minutes, 100% in 49 minutes.
The OnePlus 8T will launch on October 14 with OxygenOS 11 out of the box (based on Android 11). The price may be a bit steep, but that’s just a rumor for now.
I bet you definitely this device foot print will be equivalent to oneplus 7t or lesser that. if the display size is 6.55
Phone makers need to learn from car makers: provide different models, and in different sizes.
