OnePlus Tablets Announcement

OnePlus just announced its latest tablet, and it's a serious one. The OnePlus Pad 3 continues where its predecessor left off, with a laptop-sized screen, an all-day battery life, a flagship chipset, stellar multimedia cred, and the ability to transform to an actual laptop (and free of charge as of its pre-order window).

The OnePlus Pad 3 comes in a single Storm Blue color. It's configurable in either 12/256 GB or 16/512 GB, and OnePlus gives early birds the upper tier for the same price in Europe - €599. There are other goodies which we'll talk about at the end of this article.

The OnePlus Pad 3 is official - bigger and better than its predecessor

The new tablet is slightly bigger and a lot better than its predecessor. It bumps things up to the Snapdragon 8 Elite and supports it with improved cooling - a new heat dissipation area of up to 34,857mm² that's said to be 14% better than the previous gen.

Depending on the configuration, you will either receive LPDDR5x 4,266MHz (12 GB) or LPDDR5T 4,800MHz (16 GB) RAM.

The display is bigger too, at 13.2 inches. It's still an IPS LCD, but it's a 12-bit panel with Dolby Vision HDR, 900 nits of peak brightness, 2400x3392px resolution (OnePlus calls it 3.4k), and stylus support.

There are 8 speakers all around the tablet (up from 6 on the OnePlus Pad 2).

Keeping up with the bigger and better theme, the OnePlus Pad 3 brings a larger 12,140mAh battery with faster 80W charging, up from 9,510mAh and 67W.

Naturally, the OnePlus Pad 3 has OnePlus AI, powered by Google Gemini. It features translation, summary, writer, speaker, Circle to Search, and a heap of others.

There's also Seamless Connectivity between the tablet and your OnePlus phone, with video and image sync, and even notifications and clipboard. Additionally, you can connect the OnePlus Pad 3 to your Mac with drag-and-drop file transfer, native Mac gestures, and more.

For accessories, OnePlus offers the Stylo 2 stylus with 16,000 levels of pressure, an ultra-low latency mode, haptic feedback, and laser pointer function.

The OnePlus Smart Keyboard is a 6-row keyboard with a function row, NFC for one-touch transmission, and a trackpad.

The OnePlus Pad 3 is now up for pre-order in Europe and North America and is coming soon to India as well. In Europe, the nominal price of €699 is down during the promotional period to €599. You get the bigger storage for free, and a choice of either the OnePlus Pad 3 Smart Keyboard or the Folio Case for free. Additionally, there's a 10% student discount, a trade-in option, and you can get up to 50% off from the OnePlus Pad Go tablet or the OnePlus Watch 3.

The OnePlus Pad 3 will begin shipping on July 2.

Can you easily unlock bootloader and flash custom ROM? Only then it's actually worth it.
