Xiaomi Redmi Android Tablets

It's not as if we didn't already have details on the Redmi Pad but it's always nice to have more. In this case, it's a full unboxing and hands-on video courtesy of the Spanish-speaking YouTube channel Eufracio López 502.

The video goes through the retail box - including a USB cable, 22.5W adapter, and the Redmi Pad itself, and then moves on to a detailed look at all sides of the tablet. Of note is the quad speaker setup with two speakers on each side of the Redmi Pad and the Dolby Atmos support.

The tablet is a 4/128GB model, running Android 12. It's powered by a MediaTek Helio G99. Upfront, the Redmi Pad has a 10.61-inch IPS LCD of 2000x1200px resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.

There are two 8MP cameras on either side of the Redmi Pad. The selfie is said to have a wider 105-degree field of view.

The battery on the Redmi Pad has 8,000mAh capacity and takes 18W charging, despite the faster adapter in the box.

The Redmi Pad is expected to be priced under €250 in Europe. Xiaomi will launch the first Redmi tablet on October 4 at noon.

I have a Samsung Wifi only pad (2017 model) and it's still running fine - albeit understandably slowly relative to the newer models, but for its role of running a browser and using TuneIn Radio as an alarm clock, it does the job - still.
