vivo Android Rumors

We’ve been seeing leaks about the upcoming vivo horizontal foldable, but so far one detail has evaded discovery – the launch date. Now Weibo poster Panda is Bald shared tentative information that the new model (models, actually) will arrive at the end of March.

The leakster highlights the March 26-28 window (that’s Tuesday to Thursday in the last week of the month) as a potential date for the launch event. This is for the vivo X Fold3 and the new Pro version. For reference, the X Fold2 was unveiled on April 20 last year, so this is a month ahead of schedule.

A report form a few days ago suggests that the vivo X Fold3 Pro will become the first foldable with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the vanilla X Fold3 will use the older Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. That said, a different report points to a yet to be announced Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 for the Pro and a Dimensity 9300 for the vanilla version.

It’s quite possible that both reports are true – vivo has used different chips for the Chinese and international versions of phones in the past.

The vanilla vivo X Fold3 will reportedly have a triple 50MP camera: main, ultra wide and 2x tele. The Pro model will bump up the third module to a 64MP periscope (focal length unknown).

The Pro model should feature 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, matching the X Fold2. The Pro is expected to be both dust and water resistant, a first for vivo’s foldables.

In addition to the foldables, vivo might also unveil next generation tablets – the vivo Pad 3 and Pad 3 Pro (the Pro being a new branch in the Pad family). Like the foldables, the tablets will allegedly be powered by the Dimensity 9300 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, respectively.

Wish they would certify this and lauch it in the usa. But our networks lock off any device not certified because of our governments control issues and power seeking behavours. Unless you want the speed booger t mobile. Ugh dilemma.

I can't wait till it comes out. I currently have the VIVO X FOLD PLUS. I skipped the X FOLD 2 because it did away with the Periscope Lens. I'm glad they're bringing it back on the Fold 3 series. I will be getting the Pro Version with 1...
