We’ve seen so many rumors and leaks firing from all directions surrounding one of the most anticipated Samsung launches ever. The latest piece leaks comes to us from CCC (China Compulsory Certification) where two variants of the Galaxy S10 have been certified.
The first part of the story is that only two variants were certified in China but there have been reports of three and even four total variants of the S10 with at least one 5G-enabled one and possibly a third size (6.1”) in addition to the supposed 5.8” and 6.44” versions.
The documents also reveal the chargers that will be included with both the SM-G9730 and the SM-G9750. We are a little disappointed to see that this charger is rated with the same wattage as the charger that Samsung has been using on its flagships since the Galaxy S5. The listing shows that Samsung will include the EP-TA200 with both models. This is the Samsung Adaptive Fast Charger, which has the same power rating as Quick Charge 2.0 and tops out at 15W.
We’ve seen Chinese phone makers like vivo, Oppo, Huawei, and OnePlus all release phones with proprietary chargers that reach 40W and even 50W but Samsung has yet to even make an attempt to compete in this space. While we’d encourage that Samsung should hit the market with a quicker fast-charge standard, we can imagine why Samsung might have decided against it.
