Also, you will get better camera( back and front both), offline accessories, wireless charging, IP68 water resistant rating, 120Hz display and stereo speakers in Samsung S20FE. Paying around 12k extra worth it.

Also you need to consider the number of 5G bands provided for iQOO 3 for future compatibility. It is much less than Samsung with support for only 3 bands. The only reason I went of iQOO 3 is because it is very cheap and have a proper audio jack with a good DAC. There were times when the iQOO 3 (5G) 12/256GB variant was selling for INR 27.78K ($375) in our country.

Please a... moreI don't know much about their latest mid-ranger Z3's latest software update, but their 2020 flagship iQOO 3 remains rock solid even after applying the latest Jun'21 android security update.

This month received following FOTA update:

                      Update version: iQOO rev 6.70.28

                      Update Log:
                      1) Fixed issue where phone is unable to receive file via Bluetooth in specific scenarios
                      2) Android security patch update to Jun, 2021
                      3) Fixed occasional restarts in specific scenarios
                      4) Fixed the issue of silent call recordings when Google Assistant is running in background.
                      5) While using Albums app, fixed the issue of crashes when you are sharing multiple images.

                      After update:

                      Model: I1927
                      Android Version: 11
                      Android security patch level: 01-Jun-2021
                      iQOO UI Version: 6.70.28
                      Software Version: PD1964F_EX_A_6.70.28
                      Compile Time: 03-Jun-2021

What I love about iQOO's Monster UI is their zero add policy and in being ultra fast. However the UI is somewhat lacking the sparkle in comparison to the latest efforts from other top Chinese brands. But frankly for INR 23K ($310) for the 8/128GB (LTE) variant of iQOO 3, I simply cannot complain.

Yes, without a doubt, we are getting software upgrades every month related to latest security patches and minor bug fixes. However, I haven't seen any major update after android 11. Oneplus and Xiaomi provide major updates like better camera quality, upgrade in slow-mo video frames, video bokeh effect, better battery optimization etc. even to their older generation phones like Oneplus 7T, Poco F1 etc. till now.
I have also requested many times from IQOO Support Team to include such features in IQOO3. I always get a response that these features cannot be brought into this phone however, they will give these support to their upcoming models which they will launch.
Oneplus coming from the same family(BBK electronics) and Xiaomi(android OS); if these phones can bring some of the features with software updates which were not included at the time of their launch, I believe IQOO can also provide the same provided that IQOO3 is just only 1 year old and has a very capable hardware.
So, what I have concluded is that- if you want to see major updates as the time passes by, you should consider Oneplus, Xiaomi or Samsung in android or else, iOS.

Shaan shaik, 16 May 2021Can I trust iqoo as how users trust on OnePlus. Yes you can trust on IQOO 3 5G. If you are a Gamer than it will not disappoint you. it has Snapdragon 865 processor & 180 Hz refresh rate which give you lag free performance while using multiple apps and playing PUBG and other heavy games. I am using This smartphone since March 2020 and till now i didn't face any problem like lags, hanging and also any heating problem while playing PUBG game. But yes at the time of charging it heats up little bit because of its 55W charger. it completely charged in 45 Min. but after unplug from the charger it cools withing 1 min. so don't think more and if you are so fund of playing Games like PUBG, Free Fire and other Heavy game having size more than 1.5 GB, then you can fully trust on it.

                                  Update Log:
                                  1) Optimized system stability for better user experience
                                  2) Android security patch update to April, 2021

                                  After update:

                                  Model: I1927

                                  Software Version: PD1964F_EX_A_6.70.27
                                  Compile Time: 13-Apr-2021

The UI may not be to everyone's acquire taste, but is very feature rich & ultra smooth. Everything just glides on this phone. The UI is OK for me and just love those fast updates.

Cannot comment early on this as IQOO3 sales have been boosted since Feb'2021 due to its huge price drop. So, users will share their experience to the company and lets see how company responds on the issues.
I have also shared some requirements regarding 960 fps slow motion, video bokeh effect and few camera upgrades. Lets see if company tries to provide these requirements in their next updates. If company does so, then your answer is 'Yes' and if doesn't then, we can't count on their reliability like Oneplus.
