Yes, without a doubt, we are getting software upgrades every month related to latest security patches and minor bug fixes. However, I haven't seen any major update after android 11. Oneplus and Xiaomi provide major updates like better camera quality, upgrade in slow-mo video frames, video bokeh effect, better battery optimization etc. even to their older generation phones like Oneplus 7T, Poco F1 etc. till now.
I have also requested many times from IQOO Support Team to include such features in IQOO3. I always get a response that these features cannot be brought into this phone however, they will give these support to their upcoming models which they will launch.
Oneplus coming from the same family(BBK electronics) and Xiaomi(android OS); if these phones can bring some of the features with software updates which were not included at the time of their launch, I believe IQOO can also provide the same provided that IQOO3 is just only 1 year old and has a very capable hardware.
So, what I have concluded is that- if you want to see major updates as the time passes by, you should consider Oneplus, Xiaomi or Samsung in android or else, iOS.

Shaan shaik, 16 May 2021Can I trust iqoo as how users trust on OnePlus. Yes you can trust on IQOO 3 5G. If you are a Gamer than it will not disappoint you. it has Snapdragon 865 processor & 180 Hz refresh rate which give you lag free performance while using multiple apps and playing PUBG and other heavy games. I am using This smartphone since March 2020 and till now i didn't face any problem like lags, hanging and also any heating problem while playing PUBG game. But yes at the time of charging it heats up little bit because of its 55W charger. it completely charged in 45 Min. but after unplug from the charger it cools withing 1 min. so don't think more and if you are so fund of playing Games like PUBG, Free Fire and other Heavy game having size more than 1.5 GB, then you can fully trust on it.
Shaan shaik, 16 May 2021Can I trust iqoo as how users trust on OnePlus. What I can say, iQOO is very good in terms of software updates. At-least this holds true for their flagship devices like iQOO 3 here. Last month received the following OTA update:
Update version: iQOO rev 6.70.27
Size: 263.95 MB
Update Log:
1) Optimized system stability for better user experience
2) Android security patch update to April, 2021
After update:
Model: I1927
Android Version: 11
Android security patch level: 01-Apr-2021
iQOO UI Version: 6.70.27
Software Version: PD1964F_EX_A_6.70.27
Compile Time: 13-Apr-2021
The UI may not be to everyone's acquire taste, but is very feature rich & ultra smooth. Everything just glides on this phone. The UI is OK for me and just love those fast updates.
Shaan shaik, 16 May 2021Can I trust iqoo as how users trust on OnePlus. Cannot comment early on this as IQOO3 sales have been boosted since Feb'2021 due to its huge price drop. So, users will share their experience to the company and lets see how company responds on the issues.
I have also shared some requirements regarding 960 fps slow motion, video bokeh effect and few camera upgrades. Lets see if company tries to provide these requirements in their next updates. If company does so, then your answer is 'Yes' and if doesn't then, we can't count on their reliability like Oneplus.

iQOO's Monster UI & Vivo's FuntouchOS overlays are both devoid of any unwanted ads and notifications. Clean UI.
They are not Realme & Redmi.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts too.. except for the audio part using headphone jack. Audio through headphones is good in most cases but not exceptional. Qualcomm over the years have invested hugely in the audio codecs and their top-of-the-line audio codecs from their Aqstic lineup is even better. At least to my ears.
The Qualcomm Aqstic WCD9341 audio chip paired with Snapdragon 845 on my Meizu 16th (16 in China) easily beats the iQOO3 in the analogue audio quality front be it resolution, transparency ... actually in every aspect. But a lot depends on the implementation of this audio chips. Meizu has the legacy & know-how of portable audio, they know and did everything in the audio hardware implementation on 16th to wring every ounce of performance from WCD9341 with dedicated power supply to the chip. The same WCD9341 not even sounds half as good on the OnePlus devices.

Abhishek16, 04 Apr 2021How is ur experience using ur iqoo 3 for few days ?I am using this phone from 3 months. Below are the performance highlights of different components-
1. Processor- No lags, no stutters, no issues ever faced for a second in any applications. Pure flagship!
2. Software- Loaded with features; needs development though. Comes with pre-installed bloatwares which can't be removed. Have to work upon stable optimization for updates.
3. Camera- Okay. No flagship level performance. A soft tone is there alike vivo and oppo. You have to install gcam for taking killer photos and sometimes need to edit. Can be done better by giving updates and unlocking features like 960 fps in slo-mo.
4. Battery- A favourable one. Easily withstand 1 day with YouTube, surfing, social networking, Call of Duty and watching web series. No issues. Pure flagship! Only takes 15 minutes to get 45%. Enough juice for 15 -16 hours.
5. Display- For me I will always prefer Super Amoled 60 fps over IPS LCD 120 fps.(personal preference) For me display is nice. Has HDR10+ certification. Stunning visuals. Deep blacks are deep blacks.
6. Building quality- Built like a solid tank. Corning Gorilla 6 in both back and front (front tuned by Schott Xensation Up). Premium feel. Pure flagship!
7. Speakers- Could have been better. I mean, single speaker is loud however can't compete with the feel of dual stereo speakers.
Worth mentioning- Has 3.5mm hi-fi DAC audio jack, lack of Dolby audio and vision, lack of high refresh rate display, lack of NFC, has a very strong wifi and call reception, has inbuilt boosters for gaming performance, has dedicated trigger buttons for gaming, has dedicated AI button for assistance, lack of many free inbuilt themes and fonts, nice RAM management, nice storage speed.
My verdict- A value for money flagship!
beep bop boop, 11 Mar 2021how is the experience so far?Truly impressed with iQOO's software support. It is reacting like old Oneplus use to be, with just one model (iQOO 3) available outside China, all effort is poured into this model. Hence receiving FOTA updates every month:

Size: 184.36MB
Update Log:
1) Optimized calls for stability
2) Optimized system stability by fixing the occasional issue of restarts due to system exceptions
3) Optimized system power consumption to improve system smoothness
4) Optimized Albums app for a better experience
